I thought i'd make a topic to discuss level ideas/designs and to share levels amongst friends.

What is super mario maker?

You can make whatever kid of crazy mario sidescroller you want, in 4 graphic styles.

When is super mario maker?

September 11th, 2015.

Why is super mario maker?

(to the tune of this super mario bros super show opening)

This is the easiest one I made. Basically get all the coins, there's a Piranha Plant every other pipe to get past. The key is patience.

Super SMASH Bros: Get 61 coins!

This one can get difficult if you don't pay close attention. You get the 8-Bit Mario power-up and basically just SMASH through blocks, hence the "SMASH" in the title. Be careful for the Koopas though!

Course ID: 3635-0000-001C-DD00
LunarDistortion, this one's for you, bro. This is the hardest of the levels I've made thus far. Basically, just hit the first block for the Inkling costume, and go through the level. There's a lot of enemy spawners and big jumps, so watch yourself!

    This game warrants it's own topic. It's literally a tool for creating your own Mario levels. There is plenty to discuss there and ideas to throw around.

    Well my friend the list is simply here and not all the costumes are quite confirmed yet. Some haven't been numbered yet and there may be some missing at the moment. I check here normally to see if any updates have been made.

    Bumping to ask if anyone is getting this tomorrow and plans on making any levels.

    I'm getting it myself.

    Also they got rid of the silly nine-day unlock thing for the tools in a day one patch. Instead, you unlock objects in 15 minute intervals as you play.

    I'll be getting mine tomorrow instead, Argos aren't getting it in until tomorrow so they let me put in a reservation. GameStop were only doing the Amiibo bundle for pre-orders, which was what I was looking for. And it it was rainy so I didn't bother going to Smyths.

    Argos are apparently giving away free posters with it so I get better value there. smilie

    Whatever you want man, I would say SMM more as it has replayability with your custom levels but amiibo before they start becoming uncommon.

    Online, you can upload 10 at first, but the limit increases if people like your levels and play them.

    Good Lord, half of the user created levels yesterday were absolutely messy and ridiculously easy. Only a few were well made.

    Hmm. I had the idea of getting this game, but the way those user levels are, I don't know if I want to. At least I'll still have fun making levels for myself.

    • I've played the game like 14 of the 25 hours I've had the game.
    Most games don't even last 14 hours to unlock everything and they get boring before that happens.
    I CAN ACTUALLY DESIGN STUFF WITHOUT IT LOOKING HORRIBLE WHAT IS THIS

    120 as far as I can tell.
    You can upload only 10 and that amount should increase once you get given so many stars.

    369D-0000-001A-BEC8 -Really easy, though good concept.
    CBC8-0000-001C-86C4 – You don't even need the mushroom.
    3635-0000-001C-DD00 – I dun like trampolines. Fairly easy for me otherwise.

    EDIT: Pretty good spot for difficulty for me. Really like the way platforming is implemented for that level.

    Zap, you should add a section for courses people here have made in the OP.

    My first few wasn't that good, once you're used to the interface I'm sure that you'll make some fantastic levels!
