Probably because they're interested in the users history on dS and what they did. Or they are the banned/gone users

Probably because it's the closest to "legendary" users,and a lot more exciting than talking about nice people who are Platinum Sparx or something. For example,Loco caused his fair share of trouble while he was still around but it was never something worth mocking like he was some sort of comedian, he seriously needed(needs since I heard offsite stuff every now and then) help and I'd never make fun of this kind of situation.

Yes but the thing is, being popular and famous isn't everything. I really hope younger users realize this.

At that age, unfortunately you hear a lot about how it's all that matters :I And in my case, many many years ago, not caring about that meant that you MUST be hiding some embarassing hobbies(videogames in my case) and you'd be mocked for trying to be your own thing.

I never found Gnarly funny and he kept posting weird stuff in my GB to the point of me blocking him.
