Is the Even Exclusive Hot Streak an in-game varaint?

I've watched Howie's video with him placing the Hot Streak onto the Portal and it coming up Gold in-game. I of course got abused on this page by a tonne of people saying it's not real, it's photoshopped and what not, even with video proof. Now I was wondering if someone somehow could confirm it being in-game variant or not? Even by taking it to your local Toys R Us (if they have the superchargers portal thing up already) and testing.

There's a video proving it's an in game variant. This was settled long ago.

If someone's abusing you in here you should report them,but I don't remember anyone harrassing over it, just insisting it wasn't legit. Posting on another topic about it won't change anyone's mind.

Ok it is confirmed to be an in-game variant, but instead of Golden Hot Streak and being gold, it shows up like the vehicle itself (so black body and gold wheels) and it says Event Exclusive.

Nice, so Golden Hot Streak is probably a different variant, or it was an incorrect name used in the previous demo?

I saw this with my own eyes on the demo at TRU on 9/12. In game variant of vehicle, called "Exclusive Event Edition"
