$80 bucks. worth it.

for those planning to buy him-

this is the $80 target hasbro one. the one made by sphero with better features costs $150 and is only at best buy, apple stores, barnes and noble, amazon.com, and the sphero website. last time i checked it was backordered at the sphero store site.

this one is bigger than the sphero one. he comes with a remote. the shell and internals come packed separately. you put the internals in the shell.

the hasbro one takes 6 batteries- 2 AAA for the remote and 4 AA for the internals.

his head is on a magnet.

if you want internals pics and videos, i'll post them tomorrow if requested.

I got him too, but I'd suggest buying the Sphero one. This one is larger and more detailed, and of course less expensive, but doesn't roll very well and is rather hard to control. The Sphero one is smaller, has a more forceful motor (the Hasbro BB-8 gets stuck on the tiniest of bumps), and has a ton more cool features.

I picked up a new lego tie fighter and a luke skywalker lightsaber. (Finally one affordable) I love Star Wars...
