^Except he was portraying that even in the origin story. I wouldn't mind if he turned into that from 2 onward but from the start he was Edward Cullen Lite.

That said I don't mind Garfield's performance. I don't hate TASM (for one I only really saw the first) more than it was just passable. Compared to Sam Rami's trilogy where the first two are two of my favorite films. It really could be nostalgia blinding me, but I just felt it was done better.
