OK, I've just had to do a job that my older brother was meant to do and i'm quite unhappy about to but that's beside the point. He said that because he goes to work, he works harder than me and so it doesn't matter of he can be slack every now and then. Things to take into account...
1. He works the same hours as I have school.
2. He works at a school. (with Dad)
3. We both have roughly the same outside of school/work stuff.
So my question is, am I underestimating the fact that work is harder than school and so he gets special treatment or his he being a bum of a brother.

He should still do some things around the house that are his chores and such. Just because he has work doesn't mean he can get this special treatment.

If there was a situation where he had to live out on his own, then he would still need to learn to handle chores and work if he wished to keep his home clean, to keep it as a home.
In my opinion, I'd say that it is much easier this way because at least the chores are shared instead of having to do them all himself and that he should learn to do his part and be happy that it is just that, his part... And that he is not doing all of the chores himself if he had to live alone... Now that is easier said than done, both work and school aren't easy, but it is usually satisfying to see the fruits of ones labors in the form of a clean home. But that is mostly dependant on the person... He still shares the home though and sharing a home usually means sharing the labors to keep the home nice. So it should keep equal. This is just me stating opinion, I do not find it fact, if other people have a different way to handle the labors of home and the people living in the same home, then that is their choice.
