Do you ever get that?
I just had a dream this morning around 8 EST where it was apparently Wednesday and I woke up at 1 P.M., 5 hours after my work shift initiated. Mind you my part-time schedule is extremely fluid and my work days are extremely variable (Target employee here). In the dream I was confused as to how I forgot I had work that day (I work Wednesday and Thursday this week) and as soon as I said "That's not right", I snapped awake. Then out of relief I fell asleep again and woke up 4 hours later and here I am now.
Your turn.

I don't know if it counts as dreams playing tricks on me, but often times if I fall asleep on a road trip or something and people are talking/music is playing, the words will factor into my dreams.

this happens with me all the time on long car rides. i don't understand why it happens specifically on car trips and why it never happens anywhere else. it's a mystery i'll probably take to my grave.

I sometimes wake up hours before my alarm goes off, thinking it's time to get up. Like I'll actually get out of bed and start doing my morning routine, then after a few minutes I realize what time it really is and go back to bed. Idk if that counts, but yeah lol

I frequently get déjà vu from dreams, but it's extremely difficult at times to tell if you're experiencing déjà vu or you've really done something something before that's manifested itself in your dreams.

I sometimes get dreams where I'm doing something stressful like going to an exam I haven't studied for and it feels so real I wake up feeling a cold sense of dread thinking I have to go to an exam that day. Only to realize a few seconds later that is was just a dream.

Confusion from sleep happens to me often. I was at work a few months ago where I often worked 7-8 hour days. I barely get enough sleep as it is, so when I came home around 6PM I'd lie on the floor of my room whilst using my laptop and a few minutes later I'd suddenly blackout. When I came around, I looked at the time on my analog clock which showed 8 o'clock. Somehow, I thought I was going to be late for work, so I rushed around my room in a daze looking for my wallet and bag so I could quickly catch the train. I then noticed that it was too dark outside for it for be 8AM, then it hit me, It's 8PM on a Friday. I then proceeded to call myself some obscene names and lay back down.

Stress does stupid things to your mind.

Yeah mine are like that, like forgetting to set the alarm at work at night when I'm in charge or showing up hours late for a shift, weird dreams like that

sometimes I have dreams where I've woken up for the morning, without realizing it was a dream and so when I actually wake up its very weird. and I usually end up oversleeping!

there's been times where dreams told me that a situation I in was bad, and that I was ignoring that it was bad -- but it was willingly, it wasn't really a foretelling but something I already knew would happen, and something I had ignored too much.

there have also been times where I've swore I dreamt something before, which is often why I try to write dreams down as quickly as possible (and record dates) if I remember them, in case they prove to be true...or at least mildly true.

i WOULD write detailed descriptions of dreams like I usually do but I don't really feel like sitting down and doing that right now! but I've also had moments where I've told someone in a dream, remembered my telling that to someone but not that it was in a dream, so I ended up confused when the person told me that I never actually told them this.

One time I had a dream with my former step sister in it. She was wearing very heavy makeup, and I said horrible things to her that I wouldn't even think of saying.

I kept screaming out, "You look like a WHORE! A WHORE!"

I was so embarrassed and ashamed that I didn't look at her at all that morning.
_________

Also, I have a lot of dreams where I feel like I'm late for school. Sometimes they're beneficial, and make me actually get up to make sure I won't be late, but a lot of the time they would result in me waking up at 4AM.

I had a dream, in the middle of summer, that I was back in school. When I woke up, I started getting ready for school before I realized it was all a dream.

I've had dreams where I get into arguments with my sister that are on the extreme side, and then I wake up and for a minute I think that those arguments actually happened. I also get dreams about school work and doing public presentations, and when I wake up it takes me a while to click that it's actually a dream and I've got no homework.

This one is probably unrelated, but I find that usually during the night I keep 'seeing things'. Like certain objects in my room look completely different, usually a monster if I have a nightmare. For some reason I keep seeing the grim reaper coming through the door and heading towards me lately and I don't know why that keeps happening. xD
Also a few times I've mistook my room for the living room or some other room in the middle of the night, like for a few minuets I actually see my room as a different room. It's been years since this has happened though.
