Well it appears that this is out in Japan. Does anyone know if these are region locked? Do you need a Japanese 3DS to play?

So now I guess this can be an AMA type thing for Awakening.


What difficulty, and did you grind? I've completed it twice (both were Normal, grinding), halfway through a third playthrough (Normal, grinding) and a fourth playthrough (Normal, non-grinding). I'm currently on The Mila Tree for my third playthough, and on The Grimleal for my fourth. All playthroughs have been on Classic.

Have you completed Awakening on Lunatic mode? You need to do that to unlock Lunatic+. I've heard it's also near-impossible to do without grinding, and even then, the first chapters before you can grind are incredibly hard and you need to rely on Frederick, Robin, and Pair Up a lot (Chrom, Lissa, and others can usually get OHKO'd or THKO'd). Shadowofchaos725 has made a guide for the first chapters of Lunatic+ if you need help.

I bought a used copy when I purchased the game again, it's already unlocked.

It was confirmed at E3 for every region to have both cartridges by the way Nintendo worded it at their Treehouse event, and tweets from Nintendo of Spain, Europe, etc.

I'm a huge fan of the older Fire Emblem games, especially Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. I've replayed both of those like 7 times each. smilie

Though I have to say, I really dislike the direction the series went in with Fates.

Was able to finally put CFW on my old 3DS and successfully installed the English Patch of Fire Emblem if! It's definitely an amazing game.

From what I've heard, Hoshido has the best story of the two excluding Revelations, but Nohr has the best gameplay for veterans of the series.
