My team didn't do jack ****. The winning team had 3 fully functioning members and I only had myself basically. 3v1 isn't something I really expected to win. I had to get 90% of the score >.>

Halo is mostly team-play. It's really hard for a good player to carry a team, but really easy for a good team of even half-decent players to win.
That's why I always value a sense of team coordination more than individual skill, though pretty much everyone I've ever played with have been skilled.

Everyone else other than my team and one guy on green team were in a party, so that gave them an advantage.
