There's a whole lot of Melee stages I'd pay good money for. Brinstar Depths, Corneria, Poke Floats, Kongo Jungle, Fountain of Dreams, and Fourside would all make great Wii U stages imo.

Speaking of which, which game do you think has better stages: Wii U or 3DS? I personally think that while 3DS is lacking in competitive stages, the For Fun stage are so much better than Wii U. Wii U has too many gimmicks with each stage that make them a bit annoying to play on after a while. Instead of having battles with random enemies showing up to hurt you, a ton of random factors going on at once, or the utter insanity of Orbital Gate Assault, Pac-Land, and Flat Zone X where the stage is more likely to accidentally kill you than the actual opponent, 3DS has simple transition stages like Reset Bomb Forest, Arena Ferox, and Dreamland, as well as more simple 64/Melee-style stages like Magicant, Balloon Fight, Guar Plain, and Pictochat 2 that may have new platforms flying in from time to time, but the stage still stays the same simple layout throughout the match. I also think it has a better Retro stage roster.

I'd be surprised if we don't get a Direct announced this week. It's been a long while since the last one. We'll probably get 1-2 more characters, I'm betting on Wolf for Pre-Ballot. Also, since we're pretty much a month away from the end of the Ballot, I don't think it's impossible to see a Ballot character announced for October. I'm not expecting anything, but I highly doubt they'd wait until the very end of the Ballot to say "Alright folks, let's look at the results and see who we will choose to make.". At this point, unless something completely unexpected comes along and someone like Sylux has a sudden and gigantic boom in votes and popularity, they have already seen who the top votes are.

If they don't have anything planned other than what's in then ballot, then we aren't hearing anything until October.

I think it's pretty possible it'll happen. It's not a guarantee, but it makes a lot of sense.

I think Wolf is still pretty likely as a non-Ballot fighter, he makes too much sense. Even if we don't get a fighter though, I think something Smash will be announced there.

I strongly think it's fake. The ballot is supposed to end in October, why would we already know who the ballot characters are?

It's not that they can't know who's currently leading, they obviously have the data and see it constantly updated, but they said it would be open until October, and you don't just end ballots early just because one vote option has a lead. A lot of people are actually holding off until late September/early October for their votes, because it gives them more time to decide who they truly want to see in the game (in fact, most people hold off until the last day with any ballot - in political elections for example, I don't know anyone who doesn't wait until the last day to vote). They should give a fair chance to everyone, and not end it suddenly, against what they said.

I do think there will be one more Wave of content besides the ballot, maybe two if they feel like making a bunch of Mii costumes and a new mode or something. The only character I expect is Wolf. I also think it's plausible we will get a stage based on Super Mario Maker or something, Nintendo seems to want to promote that at any chance they get. I also think this will be announced when the ballot ends, but I'm not sure if they will announce the ballot results at the same time. I don't think they will announce ballot results until the characters themselves are ready to be shown off in some capacity.

^Knowing Nintendo, I'm not sure if they'll show the results at all, other than who won.

The way I see it going is they'll say "ballot is over, stay tuned for more", and then later on we'll get trailers for who they are adding, and we will have to assume they were the winners.

I ****ing rolled but For Glory was like "**** you **** bag" so I stayed in my shield and got hit by a Nuetrual B from Lucina. Of course he was one of those "lol I'm so cool because I can taunt after your sd and stay on the ledge because I'm so talented!!!!!!" And then I accidentally hit start and A so I quit by accident. So now this guy thinks he's so ****ing cool and I got banned. **** for glory.

Their victory themes were data mined in the Mewtwo update.

And then a day before they were announced, someone got a hold of the update, data mined everything, AND uploaded footage of them in action.

That's more than set in stone.

Nintendo uploads their update data and what not to a server that you can access in it's entirety if you simply have the URL for said server. This person had it and decided to look at the server a day before the update was officially launched, and it was all there.

I do not know what this URL is nor do I know anyone who knows what the URL is, so don't ask me for it.

I really couldn't see Tails getting in anytime soon. Sorry to say, but he just doesn't have much popularity behind him compared to other characters.

I feel like Knuckles would be a better pick for a second Sonic character honestly. Shadow too but he's already an assist trophy so he's probably not coming (and it would be too easy to make him a clone).

But seeing how Capcom's second rep was from a different franchise, and Namco would probably dip into the Tekken or Soul Calibur pools for a second, if Sega ever got a second rep it wouldn't be a Sonic character. I would still hold out for Bayonetta.

I think Rayman and Shantae have the best 3rd Party Ballot support. Honestly, if Rayman does get in, I think the one to thank/blame will be Artsy Omni as Rayman wouldn't have the huge support base he does now without that leak.

You suddenly piqued my interest in having Sophitia or Siegfried, would love for Amy or Tira with a Mii costume for Cervantes but know none of that is happening. Though in all likeliness, they'd do Patroklos or Pyrra if anyone from the Soul series.

Soul Calibur's mascots are Nightmare and Ivy, two characters who both aren't exactly all that appropriate for Smash Bros. Siegfried is the next best option in that instance.

That said they'd probably sooner go with a Tekken character. That's not too awful but I'd rather see someone from Soul Calibur, especially with Ryu already in the game making a traditional fighter character less necessary.

Or they could use Yoshimitsu and rep both Tekken and Soul Calibur at the same time.
