Agreed. Frightful looks good, but the original just looks better (much like standard Fire Kraken looks better then Jade, who also looks great).

I'm gonna get Frightful Fiesta at GameStop anyways just to be sure.

I feel the exact opposite. I dislike both of their originals a lot, and like both of their variants.

It doesn't even say on the package. The picture you posted shows that it says Special Halloween Edition. Since when is there an exclusive that doesn't say exclusive on the package?

I am not ignoring it. I am looking at all the facts. Gamestop, the one who is selling it, doesn't even say it is an exclusive on their website. The packaging doesn't say it is an exclusive. The Skylanders facebook may have just meant exclusive, as in get it their first, but not only and forever. You are ignoring all the other facts. I guess we will just wait and see who is right.

By your same argument, there's nothing in the link you provided that says that it's GameStop's exclusive forever. GameStop said it was a timed exclusive and the official Skylanders social media account doesn't comment one way or the other about that and are frequently known to leave out details, not have 100% accurate/current information, etc. As such, I'm going to continue to believe that it's a timed exclusive since GameStop will be distributing them first and should know whether they'll permanently have exclusivity or not.

That being said, wasn't Pumpkin Eye Brawl a timed exclusive for GameStop as well, way back when? I know several other places had it up for preorder and I ultimately ended up with several due to trying to guarantee I'd get one, but I think GameStop had it out first. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Pumpkin Eye Brawl was sold at Gamestop for a limited time before it stopped being sold in stores, I recall. Afterwards sellers who had that toy resold it on ebay or amazon.

If FF really is a timed exclusive, there's a chance it would run out or be discontinued and can only be purchased on other sites at outlandish prices later on.

I actually kept finding Pumpkin Eye Brawl in my local TRU up until February or March of this year, so I guess the non-GameStop availability is/was regional. If Frightful Fiesta is only a timed exclusive, I'd say that after the time runs out for GameStop he'll briefly appear everywhere and then fade slowly into the sunset--as all variants do over time.

Yeah, so did the official Facebook. But since GameStop themselves said it was "first" at GameStop and not "only" at GameStop, that doesn't mean much. Especially given the track record of the official Skylanders social media accounts' level of accuracy.
