For big news like that? Yeah, that's pretty late. Also, you could have at least made a cursory glance over the thread to see if it was posted. Or even looked down the thread list, since there was also a thread about it.

That Boss Battle is pretty much ruined the game for me as my favorite part is replaying the final bosses...

It's one of the best final bosses in the series because of how unique and memorable it is. I honestly have never seen a boss fight like it before. Like, Trap Team, Giants, and SSA all had okay final boss fights, but they were just the same things repeated with slightly different patterns. Super Evil Kaos was 4 completely different phases that were all fun and offered up new challenges. I wouldn't put it in my top ten final boss fights, but I still really like it.

Unique? No experience in skylanders is as unique as TT Kaos's brutality, nothing as memorable as losing your entire roster to a SINGLE boss, no new challenge Super Evil Kaos prevented could possibly eclipse the challenge presented by TT Kaos. Nothing beats challenge when it comes to being "fun", and Super Evil Kaos was simply a cakewalk, even on Nightmare.

We're fighting this time, it'll HAVE to blow BOTH of them out of the water.

Super Evil Kaos is kinda similar to Mesmerelda - good in mechanics, terrible in excecution. Having to change your arena layout and enemy selection every phase really keeps you on your toes and could really make for intense gameplay... If you weren't knocking out the toenails,teeth and...brain? of a creature that looks like badly hardened clay and is anything but menacing. It also put the cherry on top of how VV was destroying his character in his game, since oh look he's so strong but he's so dumb yeah it's easy to slap a tiny brain to inform you that he's dumb, despite the fact he's been shown to be quite knowledgeable about way too much on magic and technology, and if anything he relies on what's easy instead of using his smarts.

But that doesn't mean Traptanium Kaos is thaaat good either. The concept of him seeing through the fourth wall is amazing,the design is Final Fantasy menacing, the elemental tag-teaming is a good mechanic, but they really got the bullet hell out of hand on harder modes. As I said before, TFB missed what's challenging and made what's frustrating, pretty much making you do a mirror match if you want to not be always afraid to slip your finger off the jump button.

If the next final boss takes the best of both worlds, they could easily make the best in the series(in my opinion since Robo-Kaos).

SSA's final boss on the wii is one big troll imo. He gets half his hp back.

So they really gave the Legendary status to a character which already received it...?

Well... After all it kinda makes sense.
Hurricane Jet-Vac is an upgraded version of Jet-Vac so a Legendary version of him should get SuperCharged as well... But come on!

Sincerely hoping they will also create some new Legendaries (even Eruptor and Gill Grunt would do, really).

Traptanium Kaos was terrible. Difficult? Sure. But a good final boss that does not make, when said boss is as stretched out and repetitive as he is. Really, all the Doom Raider boss fights are terribly stretched out and overly difficult.

SA's final boss suffers from that problem, to a lesser extent. At least fighting his minions and Hydra was cooler and it was more satisfying, because they kinda set up a rivalry with Kaos and he had a bigger role in SA.

The difficulty and length of Giants' final boss was fine, but it didn't feel like a final boss because you barely did anything against him. Spoilers, but Machine Ghost was the one landing most of the blows, and fighting Kaos' minions and that weird machine weren't really cool.

I guess SF's has the same problem as Giants', but you do get to land a satisfying final blow and you can tell the developers had fun designing something so silly. It may be too easy but I'd rather have that over a stupid-long TFB finale.

Oh and I would love a Legendary Gill Grunt, just because he's the only SA Starter character who hasn't had a Legendary variant, which has always bugged me.

Well we've just been getting variants left and right.

While TT was my least favorite game, I must say it did have my favorite final boss. Mostly because of Kaos's awesome design. I loved the blade hands and fallen angel wings.

I find the Golden Queen boss battle to be the best in the series overall(nice balance of dodging and retaliating, except maybe for the badly coded final stretch), but to each their own I guess.

On topic, wow, what a waste of legendary. The fact he already had one in the past is part of the problem.

Next thing we'll know, is that we'll be getting a Legendary Super Shot Stealth Elf and Legendary Double Dare Trigger Happy....

Dark Spyro is his own character in the 3DS version though, that's semi justified.

What about Legendary Big Bubble Pop Fizz. Personally I think a Legendary Soda Skimmer would look good.

I really don't like the look of the new Jet Vac, Legendary or not, but it's weird they're doing him as Legendary again.

The thing with the Doom Raders is that most of them had good concepts for boss battles. I just think their health was too high. Wolfgang is the prime example, pretty creative and really cool boss fight that goes on a bit too long.

They packed Stealth Elf with the Starter a third time and gave her a second Dark variant and butt ugly repose. I dislike both variants but I'd rather have this Jet-Vac to Stealth Elf, since I actually like Jet-Vac and this repose of him, and he hasn't been forced into Starters as often as SE.

Though I do wish they switched his blue and gold like they switched DSE's black and silver.

Like, maybe there will be a Nitro character but it won't be her (even if I'd bet she well be the one since she's Guha Bala's "secret" love).

Nitro Stealth Stinger.

Hm, the first screenshot is a new level. Some old looking building, decrepit old tree in the bottom but the skies are clean and it seems to be daytime. Reminds me of the ruined castle that you see a few times in the Overview trailer. Yes, again, might ve in the achievement list but spoilers.

The in-package colors don't match the ones from the artwork and the 3d model, it's missing the white part in the front and the tail propeller is white instead of golden. The 3d model also looks silver rather than white.

... Did anyone notice the SSSE inside Nitro Stealth Stinger (on the artwork) is the regular version?

I'm gonna be cut if they make another Stealth Elf this game, would've preferred a repose of any other Life character (I was hoping for Zoo Lou).

They could've shown Legendary Dive-Clops, that would look cool. They could've shown Legendary Deep Dive Gill Grunt, his armor would look nice. They could've even shown Legendary Big Bubble POP FIZZ, but NOOO, they just flat out make a Legendary version of an ALREADY Legendary Skylander who's received 9 FIGURES ALREADY. Sometimes I just wonder, what on Earth is running through Activision's heads, if anything? I DO like that Nitro Stealth Stinger though. Looks beautiful in-game. ...oh great, now I can't decide on which one to get! I like the wooden look of the regular supercharged Stealth Stinger, but I also like the golden/pearl color of Nitro Stealth Stinger even though it doesn't look much different when supercharged.

Jet Vac was an absolute waste of the Legendary spot. He isn't very popular at all, so why waste a spot that could be given to a new Supercharger, or at least to a character who doesn't have one already, like Roller Brawl or, dare I say, Terrafin?

Even Gill Grunt would've been a better choice, to be brutally honest.

Honestly they were probably just looking for excuses to make another jet vac figure in a desperate attempt to popularize him. Like I said above, there are tons of figures that would look good in legendary armor, but Activision is too afraid to step outside their comfort zone of box-front mascot skylanders.

Terrafin could look like Sharpfin or GG could look like the darker colored gillmen in SSA. It would actually be a great idea. But nope, can't risk getting one of the flagships -gasp- less popular than others who'd get clever palettes.

yeah whats up with that, the guy have been a legendary before.. dont they talk with tfb?.. so they can avoid this and find another one that havent been a legendary before... its just feel like a strange choice.
