Isaac...

They're talking about the ancients who created the Core of Light and accidentally released the Darkness.
The Giants were called the Elder Elementals.

13 Levels might not be so bad if they're longer like Swap Force levels were. They were huge.

Please... *sigh*... Use spoiler tags... Might not be a great thing but someone might not want to know how many levels are in the game...

Anyway, they are also splitted in 2 or 4 chapters I think.
And If the chapters are actually as long as SWAP Force's levels then we'll hopefully have tons of content to enjoy! smilie

Don't forget those 13 levels in SF also had plenty of boss levels thrown in as filler. Looking at the achievements(and what some nice folks managed to spoiler before I could tell they were spilling the beans), now they're finally part of the chapters.

Also completely forgot to ask this yesterday. Didn't the achievements in TT unlock small wallpapers? I didn't try clicking any of them but dunno if that's the case here.

That's really great news!
I hated how bosses were separated from the levels in SWAP Force; it made fighting them easier but greately reduced the number of actual chapters.

Maybe they could repeat what they did in Giants by making us save right before the boss so it that you can fight him as many times as you want without having to replay the level.
That would work perfectly.

Regarding Trap Team wallpapers... I didn't knew about that at all.

Seems that I was wrong, lots of new information is surfacing while I'm away... Just my luck. That Fiesta looks absolutely stunning, and I think that the amount of levels are just fine, remember they are longer than swap force levels as they are being split into smaller chapters. I'm more hyped for this game than any other one in the franchise so far.

Didn't TT do this as well? It threw you a few steps back but it also would respawn you in the entrance to the boss - Giants was like that, and clearly indicated to have something going on since Auric was always close to the boss area.

The Trap Team wallpapers are for the X1 version, but they double as pretty nice level pictures for the Wiki .w. Here's Monster Marsh for example.

We'll have to see. No adventure packs means we're settling with one level size(unless they change it up, that'd be nice), and it's looking like it'd be 3-4 chapters of about 10 minutes for each world. A blind run of TT levels was about 25 minutes each, so probably slightly longer minus whatever extra things there'll be to do.

Hard to say at this point. But in terms of extra challenges and replayability, Superchargers just blows trap team out of the water.

Not sure if I've mentioned this before and it's probably the wrong topic, but even before Superchargers was revealed to have online, I'd found out that TfB were hiring a networking engineer, so you can expect their next release to have online too.

I don't think anyone did, but this is good news and means that they won't leave it to Beenox like VV is doing. Probably because of the QA mess last year.

Drek, stop acting like Wes and I were the ones to say that out loud first.

We said it, or at least I did, after post number 3768 said it first. Go tell that person to use spoiler tags, cause by the time me and Wes said how many levels there were, the cat was already out of the bag.

Ok, it's official.
I'm and idiot.

Sorry GameMaster87 and wideawakewesley.
Somehow my brain forgot I read the number of levels before and wrote that post commenting it.
Might have been a matter of sleep hours but still... I owe you an excuse.

Anyway, it's not like TfB hates changes they simply prefer a lot of small tweaks instead of big innovations and revolutions.
It might be hard to see but TfB's games went trough a lot of smaller and bigger changes from SA to Trap Team.

I'm sure there must be something between keeping the game too similar to each other and adding changes so big they might compromise the core gameplay.
Cooperation might be the key.

And open world for example would really change the way we approach to the game's settings but wouldn't alter the gameplay we've learned to love and appreciate.

An open world Skylander game is something I've been hoping for, for a long time.

Certain areas of the world could be locked off until an adventure pack releases, for said locked areas. Old location items could be used in every game to unlock an area of each new world in each new game.

I think it would be awesome.

From what we've seen, it looks like the Chapters in each level are about the same length as a TFB Chapter. So if each level has at least 2 Chapters in it (most probably will have more), then that leaves us with at least 26 Chapters.

Not all of them; some are ~6 minutes, SSA sized, like the Land section in Cloud Kingdom. But hopefully they'll get longer as it goes.

That level actually appeared in screenshots before, and the color palette matches the one we see Cluck in the Amiibolanders trailer. Wooden flooring, autumn looking place. I'm sure most people with the achievements will know the name, but better just go by what's been around for much more time.

Bayonetta is a real game >:I. Sure, it started out with ingame achievements in consoles with achievements, but the WiiU port carried them over with little issue.

The accolades were very little though. Get all the hats, get all the scrolls, beat story mode etc etc. I mean the actual story mode progression and the secret ones with going out of your way on the level to do something weird.

Oh, my mistake then. I never played it so when people brought up 13 levels I just thought that was the total. But considering the chapter number, SC can still be bigger overall.

People have said worse on games and themes on this very board with no issue, though. I just brought up the first game that came to mind, since it happens to be a favorite of mine, I didn't really remember any others that are kid friendly until you brought them up.

Let's keep other game discussion to PMs or other boards. I might not agree on what's appropriate or good example, but let's keep it to a few sentences or it might derail. Don't want people warned for things I brought up without noticing.

On topic, again, I was speaking of the secret task achievements even if this game doesn't have any. After Telescope Towers' task, can't say I miss them, though some were hilarious.

Those secret acheivements requiring you to do something hilarious? Well, pokemon had their share of those. Like the Magikarp Award, for using Splash, and that one for using Struggle
So do Ratchet games... In Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, the skill point "A Smashing Good Time" required you to kill all the robot bystanders
Yeah, I want some of those in here... those are always funny!
(I like hilarity, just in MODERATION, too much wackiness RUINS a plot... and plot is primarily why I play a game... an interactive movie/book..., I dislike De Blob and the like because they have the video game equivalent of Michael Bay's plots... take your own darn STORY seriously... I can deal with comedy relief if its just that, RELIEF.)

Obviously you never played or even watched De Blob. Or even Splatoon, actually. Or basically like, any video games. Ever.

Also, I don't know what that even has to do with Bayonetta 2, since what you describe is exactly what Bayonetta 2 is, so you're kind of being a hypocrite.
