So, has it ever been said what happens if your playing online story mode and you or your partner die? Like do you just have to sit back and watch your partner finish the level and vice versa, do you pick another Skylander, or do you and your partner have to do the whole level over again? Ever since they confirmed online adventure co-op this has been confusing me.

We don't know which ones aren't playable. We know that Pepperjack, Wolfgang, Golden Queen, Chompy Mage, and Krankcase are in the game, but not if any of them (Besides Wolfgang and Golden Queen) are playable. We don't know if Gulper and Dreamcatcher are in it yet either.

I went to Gamestop to pre-order the Dark Edition today and the guy asked me if I cared to pre-order any figures... I was too distracted to pay the offer much mind but I realized I could have found official confirmation of Wave 1 figures. I reccomend y'all go to Gamestop and see what they have to say in case they have something interesting...

I do believe there is such a process one could use to produce "black gold". Though, I would have to research it for a better understanding of what it means and how black it truly is.

But, honestly, these are 'VILLAIN Trophies'. I think black anything, regardless of the material, would trump gold in contests ran by cartoonish villain stereotypes.

"Black gold" is oil. It's metaphorically saying that oil is worth $$$ like, well gold, and is black.

It would be cool to have real golden figures etc.

Also even if this game is GOTY or something, please somebody change Guha Bala from the dev being interviewed next game, it's like he's deaf. Why only 4 players when MK has 8? Well you see, original vehicle experience, what the kids want, over the ttop we always try something new and innovative. It's at a point I just skip his responses because you KNOW they'll be non-answers and make no sense. Lou Studdert all the way.

Love the idea of trapping and playing villains from the trophies once they're defeated. Almost like the trophies are a step up from TT's traps. Nice thing is there's not a whole bunch of them.

I think that's because it's a debug build and they use that as a way to upgrade characters fast for showcasing.

I don't see the purpose for it since they're controlling every piece of footage and would never let someone reset the Skylander, but eh, after the Giants debug menu with level skip for all to see (and that people abused to no end like me seeing the final level one week before launch), maybe someone is crazy paranoid.

Yeah, based on those videos I can safely say VV has done it again. They really have a handle on the Skylanders brand and know how to give us more hours of gameplay with their iterations.

I can already tell this will be my second favorite Skylander game outside of Swap Force.

Don't know if I dig the new colors on the hub though. The gray and blue made it so calm and welcoming in TT and even if the mismatched sections now look great, there's so much green and red which makes it way busier.

Yeah, they've now provided me with more content, except now they've forced my hand on needing all figures nad vehicles if I want all the challenges. The old Giants routine was pulled. So if you want to experience the "entire game"...all superchargers and their vehicles are now on the REQUIRED PURCHASE list.

The point is I'm really happy to finally have the confirm I won't feel the need of buying certain figures (even if they'll be required to unlock a certain something) if I don't want to buy them.

And I couldn't be happier to say it.

It might just be some sort of challenge section meant for the Academy, and probably only meant for there too.

But is it a zone like the ones where certain Elements are stronger or an area locked behind an Elemental Gate?

Would still be strange to have them there but not anywhere else even if it might bring some interesting elemental features to the Academy's design.
I would have wanted more of that in Trap Team.

wow heroic Challenges are back. On the video it mentions that they only unlock with the character and the specific vehicle. I was almost sacred I would have to do 20 heroic Challenges for all my skylanders.

SSA with Giants is 50 Challenges multiplied 2 to 3 minutes multiplied with your skylanders. With all the new skylanders from the past games that would be a lot of work, but fortunally it is only 20.

I'm sorry if I had missed the answer to this from before in the discussion but it seems that everything extra that we have to buy unlocks tracks, racers and whatever else in the racing section of the game...none of it is actually related to the hack and slash part of the game. It seems that they may even barebones that part of the game and focus mostly on the racing parts. Am I right in thinking this? If this is going to be true, then I'll get away very cheaply this year because I have no interest in the racing aspect of the game and I wouldn't be buying stuff to unlock content that I'll never play. I'm secretly glad about this as last years game cost me way more than I had wanted to spend.

Anyway, thank you as always for those videos, I can see now where my Splat avatar came from. I have an odd theory about her. It looks like she's wearing a Kimono top in that image. She may be a Chinese character with a calligraphy brush/pen wand...and this is the year of the Sheep/Goat on the Chinese Zodiac. Just a thought as they do like to cover all bases with their ethnicities. If only they would supply a better image of her, you know?

I'm kinda worried about that boarded up Academy door. Everything you need looks to be on the outside of the Academy now... what if you can't actually enter the Academy itself? I sure hope that's not true, because it would feel like a major cop-out on V.V's part. Still, I'm excited we've at least seen part of the hub now.

I don't think they will be Heroic Chellenges, because they don't offer any stat boosts. I think they're more like Bonus Missions ala Swap force.

Now all they need to do is confirm there are 400+ stars to collect (unlike Trap Teams small amount of stars) like Swap Force, and the inclusion of Time Attack, Score Attack, and Survival Missions, and this will stand alongside Swap force as the greatest Skylander games.

Only thing I could ever want, though, is an HD (meaning with the graphics of SF, TT, and SC) compilation of Spyro's Adventure and Giants.

It's boarded up on the first level of TT as well(with the school's shield), not much of a big deal. They could just open it up after a certain world.

That wasn't the point the point was it's prolly a vehicle elemental zone. Reef Ripper or Crypt Crusher prolly couldn't handle it.

Did anyone notice the money going up like CRAZY from the treasure chest? 0 To like 4000 or 3000! That can finish all of your basic upgrades pretty much!

I really hope theres more to the academy. There is more to where the adventure packs uses to be or around there.

Edit: Little Terrabite in Terrafin's vehicle! So cute! Terrabite is trying to be like his "father" So that pretty much clears that we can race as ANY Skylander. Like they could have changed it but it is confirmed

Luminous, FGTV answered your treasure question a bit above, he belives it's just part of the debug version of the game. It might be supposed to fill you up for every upgrade.

Also managed to give a look at the boarded up entrance to the school,you can definately see something is rendered inside; so it's not a case of putting everything outside because because, unless they wanted to waste disk space to put statues in a inacessible area. So guessing it's the same case as TT where Mags needs to finish the inner area during story progression.

And in case anyone argues that was a first level thing, compare the footage to this from the trailer. Cali is missing from the control panel,Hugo isn't stationed near the Sky gate, the lava path isn't visible at all,and the Supercharger Challenges guy is missing with his entire stand nowhere to be seen even if he's next to Buzz(who is behind one of the towers,but you can see the torches). So I'll guess what we're looking at is from world 2 foward, so the Academy may be reopened even later.

Probably like TT, where each level's opened after completing a chapter/level. That and, possibly, find items to rebuild the Academy
