Lost footage of Chris Farley voicing Shrek! [CLOSED]

As a big Shrek fan (And Dreamsworks over all) this is a HUGE find. Before Mike Meyers gave us the Scottish Ogre we know and love, Chris Farley voiced Shrek before he passed away.

Interesting, and it's interesting to think about how the series would've been if Farley was still alive and played the role throughout the series. But listening to it next to Eddie Murphy's Donkey, I just can't get very used to it. Meyers' accent is ingrained in the character for me, and contrasts better with Murphy (allowing both to stand out more).

It's also an interesting thing to point out that when Meyers came on the project, he actually went through a series of recordings in different accents!

It was actually going to be Midwestern!

I remember hearing about this releasing from RebelTaxi, it's interesting. Reminds me a ton of Wreck-It Ralph. I like it a lot.

My guess, it would have been successful and would have helped Chris Farley's career alot. He wanted to not be type casted and get more serious roles.
