I have to say... I'm dissapointed. And that because of multiple reasons.

Obvious reveal; who didn't expect online racing? A racing game without online is a bad racing game, so why making such a big event only for that?

SMASH HIT!?!?! I'm furious because of the fact that a WAVE 2 character still isn't revealed.

No on foot gameplay; they only showed vehicle gameplay that we already saw douzends of time before. I was excited to see at least some Nightfall gameplay, but, since when do we care about interesting gameplay right?

Be patient everyone. It ain't over yet.

*sigh* I already posted this somewhere else, but I figured I may as well post it here. TL ; DR , these reveals are the opposite of SF's for me, the more I see the less I want to try SC.

Whenever I see these racing sequences, I can't help but think they just look less tight and entertaining than Mario Kart and kinda by-the-books in themselves... I wanna see more of the on-foot sections, so tired of seeing all the kart segments. They just don't look that fun. I wanna see what attacks the new characters have on the ground. I wanna see how I can upgrade them. I wanna think about how I could apply their moves against enemies. That's what I liked most about all the past games, and with the focus on vehicles in this game that aspect seems to be holding back the on-foot sections by breaking the pacing and forcing the devs to diverge attention to vehicles. I know you can also upgrade and mod vehicles, but they seem to be restricted to small areas and don't have the same personality as a Skylander, so I doubt I'd get attached to them. Plus, the Air and Land sections don't really look deeper than the past vehicle minigames.

That you can only have four players together online, and the rest are just CPUs, that seems like it'll hamper that part of the game too. it's just not as entertaining with less players, with CPUs taking extra places- you can't get as many people together and CPUs usually aren't fun to race.

When racing/playing co-op with friends online, is voice chat mandatory? That's what it sounds like. If I get this game I'd like to try the online out, but if I'm forced to use voice chat I'm not going to bother.

Also, is classic PVP still completely gone?

OMFG! Mesmeralda, Splat, Roller Brawl, Astroblast and two characters that don't look like Smash Hit at all but more like villains. Maybe I've judged too early... But guys, Mesmeralda's finally coming back!!!! The Hype Train is driving over all of my negative comments!

oh my god! SO MUCH INFO! I CAN'T TAKE IT! Theres something I don't get, Skylander Boy and Girl had some toys of like Nightfall and Dive-clops I don't know, HOW they did...

I was about to complain about how slow the vehicles go in races and how repetitive the SFX ends up and how there's a stupid villain name again with that guy using a face obscuring hood, then TFB chompies. They actually look like a mix between both types, since they have a very large overbite and bigger fingers like VV but a LOT more teeth and realistic eye stalks. Thank Eon, that's actually very good compromise.

But the racing mode seems like a very nice distraction. Depending on what we have default, it's probably going to add more replayability than any extra modes... But it'd be nice to still have PVP,since now villains are really racing only.

Also the mystical garden place seems to be populated by very tall flower ghost things. Probably a story mode level.

...Academy as the hub again I'm incredibly conflicted about. Could just be the online hub, but still, David A. Rodriguez leveled the place in the comics and didn't exactly show it entirely rebuilt as of Light in the Dark.

Also thanks Nightfall, you angering the Leviathan probably drove it to take over the place that's now its lagoon. At least it's easy to leave his mouth once you're eaten.

Early access from Activision. Basically because they're not able to travel to Germany, Activision will provide them with access ahead of other outlets so that they can prepare videos for any embargo date/time. Some other global outlets will get similar treatment when they can't make events due to their location.

I think we heard some voices in the Racing videos cause when you get hit you hear something. I think i heard Splat A LOT and I also heard Dive-Clops

Nightfall is actually much clearer to see from the side, the figure is quite nice but I'll wait for gameplay, we have an entire week for some like it happened with Fiesta.
Online co-op means Let's Playing the game just got a whole lot easier for some youtubers and streams in here :U

And Skydad pretty much confirmed the hub is the Academy with an NPC doing the online lobbies; he also happens to be the announcer since it's the same VA, if he's the one doing the track intros.

It has to, between Trap Team and SC a certain dragon called Malefor decided to stab it with a giant metal tail(it's also the same point where the Dreadyacht was destroyed turned into an anchor for him). The following comic briefly shows it being rebuilt and it has the design of the original artwork, but it might just be because the artist had no references to how it's supposed to look like now.

Am I the only one that HATES Dive-Clops voice? I like Splat's, Astroblast's and High Volt's but Dive-Clops i hate... It sounds like Barney if you think of it....

Hearing only grunts and yays from the racing it's kinda hard to tell for me.

Also,it's pretty hard to tell if all those tracks are based on real levels(and being only 6 I REALLY hope they're not one per world), but I noticed all but the Iron Jaw Gulch track have original soundtracks. Even the one that might as well be Boney Islands has a really ominous sounding choir.
