First season was good but I lost interest in Season 2. I have to agree though. It may just be because of how overrated it has become and I stopped liking it, but I really lost interest since.

I especially hate Adventure Time because it's just wrong. The different weird facial expressions, Everything not making sence, it's just wrong.

Gravity Falls I haven't watched yet but I just hate how everyone is making a big deal about it. It's like a song that's got lots of hits or whatever but the song just sucks.

If you take it from me if I had to watch one of them it would be Gravity Falls.

I don't want this topic to become an argument on if a show is good or not, but I don't understand your reasoning on not liking Gravity Falls, There's not a single episode I wouldn't watch again, and it's almost impossible not to be intrigued by the mystery, and it mixes mystery, a solid plot, and humor that most other shows don't have, and characters that you can relate to and are more connected with as the show goes on, Even if Gravity Falls isn't your type of show, which I can understand, it's undeniably a great cartoon~

I am respecting yours, just stating mine while asking for what your reasons are for your opinion. Mine, of which have already been stated; a mix of humor, mystery, action/adventure that blends together for something that I haven't seen much often anymore.

I'd at least watch the show before declaring it "the worst". It sounds like you don't like it simply because it's popular, which, at least in my mind, isn't really a good way to go about things.

I've seen one episode of Gravity Falls. A couple things, I noticed that there were stereotypical characters in it. The hot babe, the annoying sister, the fat kid. Not only this, but some of the chosen voices, while fitting well with the characters are just super obnoxious. This show really isn't for me, in all honesty.

Adventure Time is a different entity entirely, it was kinda cool in the beginning, a kid and his shape-shifting dog exploring the land of Ooo. A kind of casual show with no lore and little continuity. Which can be really refreshing sometimes. However, it completely changed into a very, very lore rich show. The writers are now trying to juggle all of these characters, while trying to write lore and continuity. On top of all of this, their trying to make it appeal to both children and adults. While that isn't a bad thing, it's just a lot to fit in an 11 minute cartoon. Gradually the writing began to decrease in quality overtime and I feel like now their relying on fan ideas for episodes. (The famous Fionna and Cake episode, I believe.) But that's just how I feel about things, I guess.

Some episodes post 2003 Spongebob is good, but everything else ****ing sucks.

The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are the only things that actually made it bearable for me.

Don't even get me started on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky, and Dawn.

Even if you don't like Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, or the like, you still can't deny that these networks have had significantly better reception and quality than Nickelodeon has had in years.

Adventure Time is universally loved because of how well it can transition between its writing. With world building like this show has, along with the absurdity that can come along with it and the world itself, you never know what the writers are going to think of next. The episode coming up could be lore-heavy, or it could just be some episode with the show's over-the-top humor. And it just goes to show how successful this has made Adventure Time, considering it has 7 seasons, a huge franchise behind it, and even an upcoming animated film. It's essentially become CN's SpongeBob in terms of sheer success and its following.

Same goes for Gravity Falls, but for different reasons. People love it because of how well it can balance its humor and mystery, and because of how surprisingly well developed its characters are. A kids show with this much mystery and depth behind it isn't something you really see that often, which is saying a LOT for a Disney Channel cartoon.

Regular Show has the unexpected factor. Good humor thrives on being unexpected, and Regular Show does this all the time on top of being almost as over-the-top as Adventure Time is. It's even more unexpected than Adventure Time in this regard because the show's humor is pretty much built on this.

I can't exactly speak for other popular shows like Steven Universe and Star vs. The Forces of Evil, as I haven't really watched them though. But as I said before, it's one thing to dislike these shows, but you can't really deny that these shows have made these networks more successful than Nickelodeon. because Nickelodeon hasn't had ANY of this in years.

Nickelodeon as 3 problems with it: first, its new shows. All of their new shows either rely on really stupid kid humor that you would see in something like an Alvin and the Chipmunks or Adam Sandler movie, or just rely on the immature sitcom cliches that Dan Schnieder created in his later sitcoms(for example, awkward sex references or jokes). It isn't clever or balanced like the writing on CN or Disney Channel cartoons, and anything along the lines of adult jokes are usually subtle. Nickelodeon relies on dumb humor that only the youngest of kids will find funny, and their sitcoms are handled really awkwardly because of the way the scenes, acting, and lines are delivered.

The second is how they handle their good shows. For example, I've heard really great things about the new Ninja Turtles cartoon. So it wasn't really surprising that they would make a movie. so what did they do? Put the movie in the hands of Michael Bay, one of the more hated directors in Hollywood. Everything that was wrong with this movie was clearly Michael Bay's fault, as many of his cliches in making his own movies made it to this one, even if he didn't direct this. Another big example is Legend of Korra. Remember when they decided it would be a good idea to turn Korra into an online-only show? And Nickelodeon did this because THEY had episodes get leaked, and THEY did an awful job in marketing one of their most popular and well-received shows in a long, long time.

The third is their new shows not being as good as they used to. Not even trying to troll here, this is a real problem with them. Part of what made shows like SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents so great was how well they could balance the writing, just like CN and Disney's current cartoons. The shows really did deserve the praise they got because they could do this so effectively. Nowadays, the problems with their shows today have transitioned to these shows, and may have even started with these shows' decline in quality. Every once in a while you do get really great episodes, but for the most part, The writing for these shows just can't be juggled anymore because it's either handled so awkwardly or because it relies on stupid humor. In some cases, the "humor" can just get uncomfortable to watch rather than be funny. I know "The Splinter" episode of SpongeBob gets brought up a lot, but it's only because this episode embodies a lot of what's wrong with Nickelodeon. This episode completely relies on the disgusting "humor" around Spongebob getting a splinter, and it's horrible. I watch these shows because I want to see good writing. The newer episodes have done that occasionally, but the majority of episodes for shows like Spongebob don't now.

I know I ranted pretty long about this, but I kind of wanted to get this off of my chest after seeing a Nickelodeon hate topic, because I honestly despise Nickelodeon due to what they've done and because of these issues. Seriously, the only thing I hate in entertainment more than Nickelodeon is Fifty Shades of Grey.
