As you can see in the first and the last picture, there is a mabu-like skylander that looks like the ones from Trap Team. SuperChargers left off of Trap Team right? Therefore, Smash Hit couldv'e been right beneath our noses the whole time.

That's Hawk from Telescope Towers. Becoming an NPC, his chances of being a skylander are null at this point unless we get more post-SSA recruits like Fiesta.

I doubt it for the same reasons Bifrost said.

Plus the picture on the poster seems to hint at a narrow/slim almost serpentine character not a bulky one like that in the pictures.

You cooould make a point for the prototype Weapon Master there because he seems to be a species and just happens to have the same name, but he represents Magic and by being Arkeyan would be Tech even if he was retooled into something else.

Also, those are TFB prototype designs,and VV doesn't seem to use them ever, even for NPCs.

VV does, in the Irater game VV SF interviews, you see prototype toys in the background, it's been a while since since I've seen them though.

Just because you don't see VV prototypes, doesn't mean they're not there.

But they really don't seem to be V.V.'s style.

You can easily tell which Skylanders have been developed under V.V. control and which ones were completely created by TfB (which does help V.V. too) except maybe for a couple characters.

That mabu isn't V.V. style.
Same goes for all the other characters.
Look at the SWAP Force's prototypes you'll see the differences.

There's a reason he wasn't a skylander and not just pushed to another game, to degrade him from playable to one-time Villain Quest and no reason given to have giant horns. Whatever it was it probably wasn't nice.

I never knew they were working on a Hugo figure! Were they planning on making him a Skylander? What attacks would he have used, I wonder? He has a Magic base so I guess maybe he would've used magic spells from a spellbook, or something?

They could've also done it to test out the 3D printer like with Kaos and the sheep there. He definately wasn't planned as playable at any point in the first game, I-Wei's blog post about him says it straight up he was planned as the big villain and antagonist since his first sketches.

Yeah, mainly for POC or "for fun". I definitely wouldn't read that as a "it's coming" b/c its in their corporate display case.
