Algae produces way more oxygen (about 85% of the atmosphere's total oxygen. I'm not sure of the actual value) than trees.

Algae produces way more oxygen (about 85% of the atmosphere's total oxygen. I'm not sure of the actual value) than trees.


We still need trees though. There are some places where Algae can't grow that well or efficient. Like over here in the desert.

Trees are mainly for food and habitat.
