Isn't Mii Swordfighter generally considered one of the worst characters in the game? I like to play as him more than the other two mii types, but I can see why he/she would be regarded as bad.

As far as competitive play goes, yeah the Mii Swordfighter is considered possibly the worst character in the game (especially now that Charizard got buffed).

That said, a Mii Swordfighter won a Smash tourney not that long ago, so it's still possible to win using one if you're good enough (that can be said about all low/bottom tiers really).

Although I believe Sword Fighter did get buffed, but not tremendously.

I agree with that, at least now.

Zelda is completely reliant on hard reads to get anywhere. It's not a good playstyle, fundamentally speaking.

At least she has some solid "noob killer" moves.

The only character that I always do bad with is Luigi, otherwise I do just fine with eveyone else.

I can never use Wario or Olimar. :/

The only characters I can't play mediocre or above at are Rosalina and Olimar

So I found out there's an app on the 3DS eShop for $.99 that is just the Smash Bros 3DS Controller functionality ripped from the game so you can play as a 3DS on the Wii U version w/o owning Smash 3DS

I'm decent with every character to an extent

And then there's like 15 I'm above average with

Wario and Luigi are both AMAZING if you're good with them.

Brawler once said I could probably play at a competent level with everyone on the roster, though I personally feel I can't play Jigglypuff, Olimar, or Wario.

Jigglypuff is a struggle for me. I couldn't win with her to save my life.

Something I like to do is a "mirror marathon". Starting with Mario and moving down, both opponents play mirror matches for every character on the roster (including all three Mii types and DLC). Not only is it just interesting to have mirror matches and watch both myself and my opponent to adapt to characters we may not normally use, but it also serves as an endurance test as this obviously can take quite some time to complete.

I've done this with Brawler and a couple others and I'd be interested in doing it with others here. Let me know if anyone is ever up for this, and we can set up times and the like.

Characters I hate playing as (but they are still precious cinnamon rolls):

-Zelda (completely relies on hard reads, which isn't fun at all. I do decent with her, but she isn't fun to play.)
-Dedede (I'm actually not terrible with him but I don't like how weighty he feels. He drops like a rock and his aerials are awkward)
-Jigglypuff (getting Rest in is always great, but outside of that she's meh. Her gameplan is incredibly simple since there is absolutely no variety in her normals. You're basically just weaving in and out with little foot stubs. My results with her are inconsistent.)

They're pretty much the only three I just really don't have that much fun with at this point.

my mains and secondaries have changed somewhat.

Mains: Kirby, Meta Kight, Lucina, Pit, Lucas

I range from somewhat decent to not that great with every other character that i've played as so far(I still haven't ever played as some other characters). The only characters I'm absolute garbage at are Mega Man, Ganondorf, and Mr. Game and Watch.

Lately I've been getting decent as Ike so he might become one of my secondaries as well.

Roy has grown on me a lot recently. At first it annoyed me how he fell so fast and it was hard to recover but you just have to react quick enough and be alert and you can recover with relative ease. The knockback on his moves is also very nice. Hes definitely better than Marth in my opinion.

Eh, here we go again with Mains:

1. Bowser. I've gotten extremely used to timing Smash attacks to hit at the right time.

2. Wario. His bike is extremely fun and difficult to counter.

3. Zero Suit Samus. Her speed is her greatest aspect. I love the Plasma Whip and her D-Air is fun to use.

4. Little Mac. I would put him above ZSS in terms of use, but he's kinda annoying to use on smaller stages. Still my favorite. His speed is completely outmatched.

5. I guess Captain Falcon fits here now. I've been praticing with him a lot lately, and he's pretty fun overall. I've even gotten OK with the D-Air Smash.


Yeah, can't choose much after these few.

He's not top 15 material, but he's potent. All of his moves have functionality and work together in decent synergy. His D-Air and U-Air are both exceptionally good as well.

Quite decent, actually. Great combo potential, an "eh" projectile and a godlike projectile, Down Throw Up Air, etc.

Does anyone else find ryu and roy hard to use?

Ryu is difficult to use for many since he has his button input moves, which is the key to unlocking his true playstyle; combos.
