However, part of the Kaos/Doom Jet gameplay looked like it was in that sky challenge in the Cloud Kingdom

Villains might be only playable when using a vehicle.
You kinda switch to them like you did with Trap Team but won't be able to use them in the rest of the game.

Think about it: the Racing Action Pack says "Race as a Villain" not "Play as a Villain".

Hey TTD, I think it would be cool if you added countdowns to the first post so people could have a countdown to look at.

Last year they updated super late, but at least there was no shortage of previews(I think during july they were posting Meet the Minis?). Now we have what, 5 trailers with footage of the same levels with the odd 3 second new thing.

And honestly guys, I'm happy they're keeping it all on one level and not giving too much away. While I do like to know the characters, mechanics and such, I'd rather keep a lot of it as a surprise.

I'd still like to see more levels and hints about the story. Just two worlds gives a good look at the gameplay,yeah, but some story incentive would still be nice. We were promised a Rift into Overdrive in Comic-Con but we got nothing, and after the disappointment with Kaos' Mom in SF a sneak peek at the minor villains would be good - maybe even with a sneak peek at The Darkness' current form.

While I DO agree that we should be seeing more levels and more villains, but I disagree with seeing The Darkness. Thats hould be a surprise.

I meant a teaser,nothing like what was with the last two years. Maybe just the voice, so we'll figure out which guest actor is in the game this time(They's probably doing its voice, they've all been voicing the major villains). With so many months away a taste of what's to come, even if just a tiny bit, would help the hype more than the controlled gameplay vs. leaks.

Maybe we'll get another behind the scenes interview like with Swap Force.

Personally, I don't want to see anymore levels as I want it to be a surprise. Seeing a few parts of Cloud Kingdom doesn't spoil the story but if they show more, it might.

Agreed. This seems to be the most involved story yet. I think they can't show us any more without spoiling the story.

I agree. Like I know the dragon level is a fee chapters long, but that's it. I didn't watch any of the gameplay from it. Last year I spoiled a hood amount watching stuff online, but this time I want the most surprises as I can get.

Personally, I'd like to avoid learning about the story, but I'd love to know as much about the playable characters and vehicles as possible. Including one in particular that I really hope is returning...

I agree spyro is really out of place

He's the Skylanders' second-in-command, not too out of place at all. Out of place is he being there but not Pop Fizz; there's a strange lack of Sea vehicle users there except for Gill Grunt.

I love how they once again focused on the new Skylanders, making them the stars of this cover and absolutely tossing aside revamps.

Yep, they're in front of the Secret Sewers of Supreme Stink. Some other comic covers have the Skylanders in front of certain levels.

Huh, we never had footage of the third part of Land mods - not the third set,we could never edit horns or the weapon. Too bad the UI doesn't seem to be on,though that icon about the mod looks new.

We've already seen Know it All Island... Maybe the new series will begin with the Skylanders noticing rifts in the Trap Team locations.

Yup, they've been saying that for everyone asking about the Trophy. Still doesn't explain what it is, just as pointless as the trailer who just shows footage and mentions the "gameplay content" as well.

Well, not to starters, but they have definitely locked gameplay to specific bundles before, like every time they introduce an adventure pack. You could make the argument that the Volcanic Vault was locked to the specific Best Buy starter bundles, but it was eventually released on its own via a couple of in-store promotions, so I guess this move with the Dark packs isn't totally unprecedented?

I thought that Splat was a typo but it turned out real. So most likely it's the real name.

I thought it was clear that I'd meant the starter packs by the context. But you are right with the Volcanic Vault being an exclusive, although it was a recolor of the Aqueduct arena. The only real gameplay difference was the hazards were fire-based rather than water-based.

The translated text on myskylanders' website DID say Stealth Sting instead of Stealth Stinger and it has typos on other articles too if I'm correct. Most likely a typo or translation error, since not even Activision would be dumb enough to name a character "Smash It..."

Dunno, they were dumb enough to name a repose Big Bubble.Or Super Shot.
...And I'll be mean here - Ninja Stealth Elf. It's like naming Spyro as Purple Dragon Spyro or Archer Flameslinger.
