I'm a diehard Peanuts fan, so I'm really looking forward to this. Blue Sky Studios better not screw this movie up.

It's gonna have pop culture references.

I've never been a big Peanuts fan myself, so I'll probably skip this one.

I'm really liking the art style. A lot better than straight up CGI and fits the Peanuts cast perfectly. Can't wait to see it.

I have mixed feelings about this.
Like, it looks good visually, but they've already covered the relationship between Snoopy and Charlie a couple of times. Not only that, but if it is filled with terrible pop culture references, just to try and "get hip with the teens" then I don't think I'll watch Charlie anymore. However, if it tells its story well and can make jokes without relying on pop culture, then I'll chance. Till then though, I'll wait till this comes out on DVD. Edit: Second trailer has really unfitting music for Charlie Brown. That really turned me away. Thanks Bluesky! >___<

I'll probably see it when it comes out, then report back to you all, but I think the animation just looks perfect.

The animation so far fits with the characters, making them look timeless.
I'm pretty interested in it. So I'm probably gonna watch with my boyfriend some time.

I can't tell at all the last time I saw the poster or image preview of this. It's been a very long time I suppose. I COMPLETELY forgot about this.
I don't think I'll watch this, as I don't have a lot of interest in peanuts. I do like peanut butter however.

I'm glad to say most of my worries with this film are put to rest a bit. The screenwriters for this film are Charles M. Shultz' son and grandson, Bryan and Craig Shultz, and they had control of who would direct the film. They chose director Steve Martino apparently because they liked how faithful he was when he directed Horton Hears a Who(one of Blue Sky Studios' better films), and Martino and all the animators spent a whole YEAR studying the comic strip so they could transition the art style as best as they possibly could. That's freaking dedication.
On the subject of the pop culture stuff, I'm pretty sure Martino also said at one point there wouldn't be anything of the sort in the movie, and that the pop culture stuff is something they're doing with the marketing in order to attract a wider audience.

So far, yes. ![]() At the same time though, I'm still trying to not over-anticipate the movie(or, in my case, "Percy Jackson" the movie. anyone remember how much I didn't shut up about that? ). Blue Sky Studios' films tend to be hit or miss. Sometimes they can make amazing films, such as Ice Age, Horton Hears a Who, or Rio, but other times they can make pretty lackluster films, such as Ice Age 4 or Epic.I'm glad to say this looks like it's going to be in the great category of BSS films so far.

That modern music was only to attract the younger audiences. The makers assured that there will be no modern music in the movie in general. Anyway, I remember watching the Peanuts specials time and time again, and I think I watched the T.V. series, though I can't recall. After watching the movie trailer, it got me really interested in the comics, and they are really, really good. Like seriously good. I can now understand why it became so popular. And this had quite a solid continuity. Like Charlie Brown and his friends growing up (he was like four at the first comics) and Snoopy behaved like a normal dog until Charlie Brown taught him to walk on his hind legs.
