Oh god that Loki helmet-like thing Kaos is using. It's probably not the Doomstation and just his main scouting method, but it's just so tacky and cheesy while still threatening - it's so him. The personality better follow, VV.

I've already expressed my opinion on the Dark Sea Shadow/Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf pairing in another topic but I'll sum it up for you: wrong and nonsensical decision.

Ok, moving on the new Eon's Elites.
While the decision doesn't make that much sense (at this rate we might end up with all the SA characters being the strongest and mighties Eon's warriors... Kinda taking the meaning of "elite" away, isn't it?) I do appreciate the fact they actually changed the aesthetics a bit (even if I cannot help but look at them as bad fan-made photoshops) and choose 4 of the Forgotten 8 (maybe 5 if Sunburn is also there...?) and "old" characters instead of the same overused Skylanders.

What else...?
Bowser and Donkey Kong look really cool with their faces painted with the original colors.
Wish they did it more often instead of painting everything silver, black and purple.
Speaking of it, isn't it funny how Dark Spitfire has black fire in figure form but his regular light blue one in-game...?
Aaaaaah, the magic of Skylands...

And finally... The Kaos Trophy.
I sincerely hope it will also be sold separately or else I will have to buy it on eBay.
The Doom Jet (?) looks super cool... It's sweet!
Also... Will the item only unlock the vehicle or will it unlock Kaos too?
Would love to have that vehicle as a figure.

Speaking of Kaos... He seems to have a Magic background... What if he's the "returning" Magic SuperCharger...?
Kaos is the villain in this game, ok... But what if he got sucked inside a rift, became a SuperCharger (remember the prequel comic's cover...?) and left the Doomstation of Ultimate Doomstruction in the hands of Glumshanks (or maybe... Something darker... )?

It would honestly be a huge surprise.
The villain in not in-game but outside it.
In our world.
Not trapped.
AWESOME.

My guess, either this is an alternate Kaos, or the same Kaos we know and love and instead the Darkness takes over and kicks Kaos out much earlier then VV is leading us to believe (If the Darkness was planning to at all)

Exactly what I'm thinking.

We all expect the Darkness to appear at the very end of the game to take over Kaos' plan or something similar... How much cool would it be if it actually immediately took Kaos' vehicle, became his doppleganger and made use believe it is really Kaos until the final battle...?

If that's the plot I will be the happiest Portal Master on Earth.

Really wish we knew EXACTLY what the Kaos Trophy did. Obviously it's something involving the DOOM JET, but it's fairly unclear. Maybe we'll learn later this week.

Also, I... really do not like Dark DK. I would say that I could just get the regular Wii U starter pack and then get Spit Fire in a single but... The Kaos Trophy, man.

On facebook someone asked why Kaos is in the Dark Starter. Skylanders responded back about an hour ago stating:

Well I am so getting the dark edition wiiu and normal pack for 3ds.
And now the elites are a must I am so excited!!

My guess, the trophy unlocks a race against Kaos in that "Doom Jet" vehicle

I'm quite upset about how they arranged the dark editions. To get all the dark characters, I need to buy THREE. SEPARATE. PACKS. THREE! I need the Wii U for DK, Spitfire, Barrel Blaster, Hot Streak and the Kaos Trophy. Then the Wii for Bowser and Cloud Cruiser (receiving an extra Kaos Trophy, Spitfire and Hot Streak). Finally, I'll need another one (probably Xbox 360), receiving YET ANOTHER Kaos Trophy, Spitfire and Hot Streak with the figures I need, Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf and Sea Shadow.

WAIT WHAT? No Dark Nightfall or Stealth Elf vehicle? That's stupid. Should have replaced Hot Streak and Spitfire with those. Plus, I then need to wait for a 3DS version price drop and for Hot Streak, Spitfire, DK and Barrel Blaster to become pre-owned.

That's 4 packs, 18 figures, 6 unwanted figures, 1 or 2 (depending on if the 3DS and Wii versions are identical) unwanted games and £135 spent plus another £20 if I can find a 3DS version that cheap a while after release.

Well, at least I might make enough money from the 1 or 2 discs, 3 portals and 6 figures on Ebay to cover the costs of one pack. Also, I'm 13, so half of those are going to be gifts (hopefully).

Great now Nintedo versions don't even get Stealth Elf, they get Spitfire. Sick of this

So will there be Kaos Trophy single packs? Will we have to do the Kaos trap Fiasco again?

My plan for the Starter Packs:
-Dark Wii
-Normal 3DS
-Normal Wii U
-Dark Xbox 360

Then try to get Dark DK and Dark Barrel Blaster on ebay.
Finally, I wait for single Spitfire and Hot Rod.

Here's my plan: I'll ignore the cool extra figures as much as I can no matter how much I love them, and get Digital Owners since I'm beyond broke now that I finally found a reasonably priced Knight Mare.Laaater get the figures I want, but probably not Dark versions.

And probably frantically check Ebay every week or so to see if that Kaos Trophy lowers in price loose.

Please oh PLEASE don't let this be some Trap Crystal gimmick where we need to buy dozens of little trophies... Especially don't have them unlock playable villains as I will flip a table over containing the nerfed trap crystal villians in complete anger and disgust! It would be the final straw that broke the camels back!

I do like the dark stealth elf though and I do collect her in whatever color or repose she's in. It's not enough to get me to buy a dark set though, I'll get one off ebay as I'm sure everyone will be dumping her for a couple dollars.

Hmmm I'm now wondering if this Trophy mechanic is for unlocking villain's and their vehicles...or at the very least their vehicles. Maybe the villain can drive their Trophy vehicle while in the trap slot. Would be a lot cooler than an elemental upgrade for standard vehicles. Comic Con needs to happen sooner rather than later lol.

I think the one thing I don't like about Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf is that her skin is black and not silver like Dark Ninja Stealth Elf.

Yeah all these exclusive items are now getting way out of line even for VV. Like come on guys wasn't it bad enough people couldn't find the Kaos trap and now this?

Did anyone else notice how the engines on the dark characters bases are silver, instead of the normal bronze? I think that they will change the engine color to match the kind of variant. Nitros (if they continue now that the targets in Canada closed) and Legendaries would most likely have golden engines on the bases. Or they could have it mean a bronze base is a normal Supercharger, silver is in game variant, and gold for chase.

I actually thought about that but didn't came up with something for golden engines.

Totally couldn't tell which character was a palette swap without them.

See I've skipped the last two Starter Editions because they simply didn't interest me (had I know the Kaos trap would turn into the fiasco it did I would have done otherwise though). That being said I actually like Dark Hot Streak and Dark Spit Fire and Stealth Elf. I actually like regular Bowser but Dark D.K. is kind of awesome too. Stuff like this used to upset me too but I'm so Zen about Super Chargers that it doesn't bother me. I don't need it all. I'll get what I get and enjoy what I have.

The trailer shows some pretty cool and interesting Kaos gameplay. Really excited.

So, the "exclusive Kaos content" is the Trophy only and we don't even get to have the figure? Darn, it's a pretty nice jet too.
You can also hear a bit of what sounds like a battle theme. Doesn't seem like anything we currently have,so yay for not being a random Lair of Kaos remix.
