I know they have talked about it before but this is the first video I have seen on being able to play with older portals.

Hopefully they will do a portal owners pack like giants. I wouldn't mind if they took out stealth elf to even it out.

I was kind of worried because the new portal looks wired in my opinion.

And I sold my old portals save for my Traptanium one, which I'll prolly use but still...

I am still hoping for a Portal Owner Starter Pack without ANOTHER Stealth Elf in it... But think their answer to it was the digital version of the game.

You'll get the in-game character, no matter what, but you can freely choose which character to physically buy.

It's from Digital Owners which was already said to read old portals,but the new thing is that we have full confirmation that at least the SF portal reads vehicles, and by extension the TT one.
However one thing that's hard to tell is if it has Instant Donkey Kong in the WiiU version - you can see him despite the figure not being in the portal for a split second but it could just be the game still attempting to load him from a previous playthrough.

If its purely digital than no thanks. I am an advid person that believes in pysichal copies only. After the playstation account scare a few years back I don't download anything.

So fine skylanders you get more of my money and stealth elf will just sit on a self next to her sisters and gather dust.

A regular Portal Owners version would actually be really good for people with no interest in VV's waifu, but considering they have yet to say the reason/excuse for portals only all working on Digital it might be a technicall issue or something. Definately happy with not needing that cheap Hot Wheels set-inspired polygon since I'll get Digital.

OK, but you do know that the mantra in the industry is to have day zero patches right? And that that disc and case you buy is outdated? And that some games won't play unless it's online / updated?
