So we know what most of the new skylanders are and this got me thinking...what are the other ones going to be? You know for example what's life going to be so tomato racer or a banana copter. That's what I wanted to start up, what are the new skylanders going to be.
We have...
Life
Light
Magic
And earth

P.s I am leaving both magic and earth open because we don't what Splat is yet.

Earth would be perfect for a tank, ATV or dune buggy
Magic..... a boat (still think Splat is Magic, but I could be wrong)
Light...could be a spaceship
Life.....hmmm.....that's a tough one.

I think light is the UFO, with an astronaut.

I agree with the astonaut/alien in a UFO for Light. Most likely that will be the character "Astro Blast"
Although I suppose Astro Blast could be a Life Element character that has a gun that shoots "Blades of Grass"

Earth: a sand made golem driving an egyptian themed moster truck;
Life: a venus flytrap driving a leaves made plane ("Petal to the Metal!" anyone...? );
Light: probably Astroblast, a futuristic looking alien driving a U.F.O.

I'm guessing Splat is the new Magic Skylander.

Dark: Nightfall and something else.
Not sure about the new characters for Life, Earth and Tech. Fire, Air, Water and Undead already have two characters.

Highvolt sounds pretty obviously Tech...

Well, High Volt's name implies electricity which could suit both Tech and Light (Blaster-Tron, Lob Goblin and Eye Five use it) but we got a confirmation that's the robot Skylander's name and his base definitely suggests the former Element.

For missing characters I think this

Life may give us a marionette that can throw his controller as a star and can fly using the controller like a propeller. Maybe pilots a wooden helicopter and has strings all over. Could even be a Wilikin as a Skylander. My other guess would be a chameleon that pilots a stealth cycle.
Earth might offer us a rock golem or a mole with a drill dozer for a vehicle.
Light may be a gray matter alien and pilot a UFO. Could be Astroblast, but no proof he is the light character.

My guess Life will be fairy of some sort who can summon petals. So she will have a petal plane.
Earth will be a molekin with an excavator
Astroblast will be some kind of alien with a ufo

I believe that for life stealth elf will have a helicopter, I think I saw this in an E3 video from Skylander Boy and Girl, but I forget

Oh, so we only get one light and one dark, that means we could ether get remodels of Spotlight and Blackout or two new or old characters for other elements.

Nah, I doubt we would get revamped Spotlight and Blackout so soon.

And we already have 40 figures: 2 Light and 2 Dark + 4 from Undead, Water, Earth and Magic and 5 from Air, Fire, Tech and Life.

4+16+20= 40

Not to mention the eventual variants.

I think we might be getting only 20 characters altogether total.
2 for each element.
That's what it says on the page for the game.
I don't think this game will have normal run of the mill Skylanders like the other games had.

Light and Dark will only have one new Skylander each.
Fire and Life 3.
Magic, Water, Air, Tech, Undead and Earth only 2.

The topic of figure count (excluding variants) has hit a conflict with two major possibilities, which people keep throwing back and forth. The official claim is 40 figures = 20 characters and 20 vehicles. But with Nintendo exclusives being thrown into the mix, there's a bit of confusion (although, some are certain it's one possibility, while others are certain it's the other one - both believing there's nothing to be confused about).



Possibility A: 40 including Nintendo exclusives, Dark and Light are halved.
Possibility B: 40 = 2+2 per element, counting Nintendo exclusives as separate.

Those who simply tally up what we have and count down from there will be partial to A.
Those who want elemental balance and/or oppose the exclusives are going to be partial to B.
(Just in general, there are of course those with mixed opinions, like me.)

What I meant is based on what we know (only one Light and one Dark, 40 figures in total and the Skymiibos being counted as official Skylanders even if only guest stars) I would say this is the most probable option.
Not what I would prefer but highly likely.

That's assuming what we know is 100% correct: I didn't see any video officially confirming we are only getting one character for Light and Dark yet a lot of people seem to take it for granted.

I think counting two Nintendo exclusive characters in the 40 count would be a dumb decision but still.
Simply an opinion based on the facts we know so far.

I also apologize for sounding like I know everything also. I was just going from the poster that's been shown and what I have heard on YouTube from skylander interviews.

Back to the predictions

Life- I tend to believe it will be some kind of plant skylander. They always seem to pair a non plant skylander with a plant one. So with stealth elf being the non plant I tend to think the new one will be a plant. And I want it to be a banana man with a space ship

Light- idk really with this being a fairly new element you can't really guess. I mean with dark they went with a centar to a dragon to a tentical monster. So it could be anything really.

Magic- if Splat isn't earth then I would probably like to see some kind of magic animal themed skylander. But I tend to think Splat is the new magic skylander. For the repose if the popular vote is between pop fizz and spyro I guess I would go pop fizz even though I would like to see some new face beside the ever reacuring reposes. Maybe star strike or cobra Kadabra.

Earth- If Splat isn't earth then I'm kinda hoping for maby some kind of Earhart elephant or a mole maybe.

If people are right and they are balancing out the vehicles then light is going to be a boat. I really don't want that it seems like a stupid idea I would rather have some kind of high tech air ship or some kind of bio ship with angel wings.

Light would be Sky, not Sea. (Contrasts nicely with Dark being Sea.)

I agree that this makes the most sense but most people its going to be six for each type

Tech is confirmed land (Barrel Blaster). And it makes sense that they're prioritizing Land, due to it being the required terrain type, and probably easiest to make vehicles sections for.

Side note: car/boat/plane are not accurate descriptions of the vehicles. Submarines are not boats. Helicopters are not planes. Tanks are not cars (except the modern Batmobile tank-car hybrids, because Batman).

I haven't seen any pictuers to back up that tech a cars. I would actually prefer it to be cars over boats.

Side note: I know there's a difference between them but most people are using a generalized term for sea vehicles. Who wants to go around saying I like the boats and submarines or I wish the color sceme was different for the jet and helicopter and biplane. Car, boat and plane are just easier to type out. You can call it lazy but I'm just saying it how it is.

Middle top: Land/Tech: Barrel Blaster

Why not just call them by terrain types? Only one letter longer for Land, and 1-2 letters shorter for Sea/Sky. And completely accurate.
