You know, I once saw an episode of Law & Order: SVU where the pedophiles set up this website that had pictures of kids. The pics were absolutely normal (ex. groups of kids playing at the park) and had no sexual undertones whatsoever. The pedophiles' defense was that looking at those pictures helped them resist the real thing.

Well, to be fair, it's a disorder. They can't really help it.

In my personal opinion, I think that whatever they can do that keeps them from actually doing it (with the exception of CP, obviously) is fine. I could never personally be friends with a pedophile, but if he had never acted on it, then maybe I could have a conversation with him without strangling him. Maybe.

Ah yes, that episode. And then Stabler beat the crap out of the site's owner and didn't get in trouble at all. That's why I love the show, it's so hilariously unrealistic. The courtroom scenes are the best part though. Pity there are fewer of them these days when they have a talented actor as the ADA. ._.
