Hm, it looks quite nice I have to say. If the second Earth vehicle isn't extremely amazing, I'll probably go with this one.

Kinda cool, though same name on both is a little of a mouthful(the pun on Shark Tank is good but not as much as Shark Shooter), it's also a little tiny compared to the other vehicles,but that might be the point.

If it's $15 for the cars and $10 for the standard "cores", I could see them priced around the same as an adventure pack (So like $24.99)

While the dual packs might get priced at $24.99, that would be a discount from the announced MSRP of $14.99 for the vehicles and $12.99 for the SuperChargers figures. As we haven't seen any sort of true "deal" pricing on triple packs or adventure packs since the SSA days, I'd guess these are probably going to retail for anywhere from $25.99-27.99.

That's pretty much guaranteed (especially when the first one shown is Terrafin). Multi-packs have been used this way ever since Giants (1 Series+ figure per Battle Pack and tri-pack, along new figures/items). Only Adventure/Expansion Packs and Swap Packs have had all-new figures.

EDIT: Also most of the Mini Packs, most notably the "Duo/Buddy Packs"

I was thinking $24.99 but I think it's going to be closer to $27.99 (for every retailer other than Gamestop and TRU). The Swap Force singles were $14.99 and I believe the two packs were $29.99 right? No discount and pretty much M.S.R.P. I'm guessing they won't have a bundled discount. That's still strange to me though since the triple core packs have always had a small discount built in...We'll find out soon enough.

Thank god they have these double packs. This is now a one and done. This is how I'm going to be getting everyone.

For the following double packs I wish to get as of this date are:

Fiesta / Crypt Crusher - Undead
Nightfall / Sea Shadow - Dark

Mentioned it in the other thread. As others have pointed out..."guest star" skylander cards usually appear in the bottom--so there's still some slim hope.

I like the fact on all the packaging you get the full artwork of each skylander/vehicle without it being so small, also do like they show the vehicles in the combo pack artwork as their supercharged form, more than likely to get terrafin, though it will be the 3rd one i own, just due to its completely reworked, and firing shark missiles does look kinda cool

I really like the new packaging too.
I guess an orange/yellow shade would have been too similar to Giants' colors so they made a good decision.

The Combo Pack's background looks kinda... Empty, but I will wait to see them in stores before coming to conclusions.

I really like combo packs, this will be an efficient way of getting more characters faster for me.

I honestly think that it will be $24.99 retail for these packs, this way we can get a little discount for getting both. I'm also sure their is going to be at least one combo pack per element, excluding some skylanders that my be in an adventure pack... If their even are any this time.

Glad for those who want them, but as an in-package collector and player, single-packs all the way. Makes it far easier to shuffle everything around as needed. :D

I'm guessing this will be about $25 USD/$30 CAD

I think Lou mentioned in one of the earliest videos there will be Single Packs for all the characters and vehicles but not all the pairings may end up having Combo Packs.

They've never gone "all in" on combo packaging and I don't think they'll start now. They'll pull this on select favorites.

Yea, it's not good business to make combo packaging for all possible combos. There simply isn't a market for it. They make the combos for the people who are hesitant to buy 2, but will if it's a slight discount. That isn't every customer though, as some, like Uncle Bob for example, will buy the separate boxes regardless. Then there are some customers how will only buy 1 at a time regardless. Activision isn't in the business to provide every option to every type of customer, just some options to every type.

So if it's $15 and $13 ($16 and $14 at TRU) for vehicle and character respectively, that's a max of $28 (say $30 at TRU). Gotta knock at last $2 off, so $26 ($28 TRU).

So what happens when TRU has there typical BOGO 40% sale? TRU would be $16 + $8.40 = $24.40..cheaper then buying the combo pack.

If you were to buy 2 packs..$28 + $16.80 = $44.80. Buying each separately would be $16 + $9.60 (2 vehicles) and $14 + $8.40 (2 figures) = $48

So if you just want 1 combo, you're probably going to be better off waiting for a TRU BOGO sale and buying separately. If you want 2 combos, buy the combos at TRU BOGO sale. Of course Target tends to have their sales too (though usually not quite as good) and I'm guessing at the combo prices and the TRU markup.

That doesn't really matter to some people. If you only want one figure of each character from a canonical standpoint, a new moveset makes no difference.

I just realized if you look closely on the bottom of the art for terrafin and the shark shooter terrafin's face is painted on the side

Nah, it's not gonna work.

I would always look at him and think "you are just a shiny and modified Terrafin. Why aren't you a new character with a new personality, a new backstory, a new catchphrase, a new name and a completely brand new set of abilities...?".

They took Terrafin, added a shark bazooka (which is indeed cool) and changed a few moves.
No, I'm happy with the "one figure per character" philosophy and SuperChargers revamps aren't enough for me to accept them as new.

They should have given them slightly new names and told us they were brothers/sisters/cousins of existing Skylanders.

I totally could have got my Bill Grunt. Dang it.

*edit* Man, and that would have worked out so well with the theme of this game - Bill Grunt is Gill Grunt's redneck cousin who has always dreamt of being a NASCAR driver. When Master Eon offered Bill a spot in the new Superchargers racing crew, Bill's dreams came true.

My SC Gill Grunt is totally getting nicknamed Bill.

There is no distinction among SuperChargers. They are all $12.99.

Nothing else with the SC logo will be available other than SuperChargers.

Not really anything otherwise special except for Stealth Elf and Hot Streak in a single pack. I'd say that adds fuel to the fire that Spitfire might be available in a single pack as well (or a double pack with Hot Streak)
