My frtiend had two where the top part dissconnected from the bottom. My Gold one cracked, my 3Ds pink cracked, my sisters lime green one broke in half.


And we aren't the kind of people who break things ._.

I think this happens to a lot of people, whether they are careful or not.

I find most of the DS models lack durability even with careful use. My sister's old DS lite doesn't lock, so she bought herself a DSi XL a few years later. Now the DSi is developing the same problem, the two clicks you usually hear when locking the screen have gone and she's having to hold the top screen up to view it correctly.

It even feels like my 3DS XL is getting kinda floppy when you lock it to the second click. I'd consider myself to be incredibly gentle with my electronics, I don't use regularly and I've only had it for two years! The flat hinge-less 2DS looks like a better design...

Both my ds lite and my 3DS are fine, no issues whatsoever.

I agree, I think the 2DS is the way to go for a 3DS.
