After what happened last evening, with my parents, but mostly my mom, I think I may have gone too far when I was honest with my parents about my views on life. It started when my mom started going on, once again, about how I need to find a better job, even though I've tried, and how I'm doing nothing with my life, which of late is true. They both think I'm depressed because I haven't been happy lately, though, they don't know I've spent the majority of my life being miserable and wishing life wasn't so long, but that's unimportant. I got fed up, so I flat out told them, that I see no point in aiming for a high paying job and trying hard in life, when, in the end, we'll all end up in the same place anyways and that I see no value in spending your whole life working, only to retire when you're too old to enjoy it. I honestly do not see the point. I know others may no see life this way, but I honestly see life as being pointless and a waste of time if all you're too do is follow societies expectations and work yourself to death, just to spend the last few years of your life in an old-age home or something equivalent. Honestly, life just seems too long and even if I became rich and could retire early, I'm still going to end up in a box anyways. Yeah, I probably was too honest with them, but I've felt this way for years, so I hope they will finally lay off. I get that they care, but I'm fed up and done with it all. I've tried, but nothing wants to work, so at least now I know for sure, life really is pointless.
