If anything Nintendo is at fault too. And I'm pretty they are the only Nintendo characters you can use, and only on the Nintendo consoles.

Why even make Skylanders/amiibos for that game when you can just use the Bowser and Donkey Kong amiibos that already exist. I rather use one toy for multiple games than multiple toys for one game.

Some people sadly will see Amiibo in the names and want them just for that reason, so they can show off and say they have a complete set.

Please note that the Amiibos are having a stock and supply issue between Nintendo and etc.

Plus, if these come in single packs, they would probably be cheaper.

A ****ton of people scalp amiibo though, and since these figures are unique in being crossover characters and work as both Skylanders and amiibo, I'm sure they'll be prime targets for amiibo scalpers.

Uh 1, I have them already. (only because I got lucky with Gamestop's preused skylander collection, got Bash S2 when he was around, as for e3 variants I could care less)

Your do realize that every every copy for Wii U/Wii/3DS has them right? Donkey King and Bowser aren't that scalped in regular form as they're common which is still rarer than Skylanders.

I don't care much for Skylanders, but that Bowser design is dope.

I don't understand how anyone could get upset about DK and Bowser being in Skylanders. If you don't like them, no one is forcing you to use them. Heck, you can just get the Xbox or Playstation version of the game and ignore DK and Bowser altogether. Meanwhile, having them in the game is bringing new fans into the franchise and potentially increasing its longevity so the series can have even more games in the future.

And it's not like they are taking the spot of a normal Skylander. I'm sure Nintendo paid a lot of money to have DK and Bowser in the game, which means Skylanders had a bigger budget to add more characters with. If Nintendo had never paid Activision to put their characters in the game, Nintendo owners would simply have two less Skylanders to play with, and everyone else would still have the same amount of characters that they have now. No one would benefit.

That wouldn't work, since Skylanders and Amiibo function differently. The Skylander/Amiibo hybrids are able to switch between functioning like a Skylander and functioning like an Amiibo, which means you can level them up in Skylanders AND level them up in Super Smash Bros. I think that's pretty awesome, personally. No other amiibo can store that much data.
