Skylander's Facebook Page posted that King Cobra Cadabra was going to be appearing soon at stores. "Make hiss-tory with King Cobra Cadabra... slithering into stores now."



I didn't see any threads about it, and to be honest I haven't been paying much attention, but...did we know it was going to be coming out so soon? And...if it's out already like the page is purporting, then which stores have it? Exclusive?

He is supposed to come out on June 27th.

While June 27 might be the release date, why would the Facebook page promote him almost 5 weeks early?

They do that all the time. I think it might have something to do with it being multi-region, it might be out in some countries. Or maybe they are just starting to ship them to retailer warehouses.

Ironically, the marketing doesn't know much about the logistical part of the operation. I'd believe the threads here before I believe Activision's FB page.

Pretty much confirmed to be available at Gamestop stores on June 27th, their next "Skylanders Day". Also supposed to have the final variant trap (Steampunk Shrednaught). Their e-mail refers to "new and exclusive characters" being available so these could be either a store or timed exclusive to Gamestop.

Only things still unknown for the US are the final three yawn traps.

I was just at my local Gamestop and KCC was on the pegs! But when I went to buy it, register locked until the 27th. :-( At least they put my name on it for Saturday since they messed up and put them out. I asked about the yawn traps and they could not pinpoint them in their system. Too bad about the register lock on KCC, but at least the GS' are getting their figures in for this Saturday.

No, the register lock is a good thing. They are advertising this figure as being available on their "Skylanders Day" - 6/27, and people will show up expecting it then. It is 4 days away, now people can show up with confidence that it will be there when their ad says it will be instead of being sold out days ahead of time (unlike for their last exclusive).

GameStop will get him, along with the Steampunk Shrednaught trap on 6/27. I saw their shipment come in for the Fullerton store I go to. Don't know about the Yawn traps

I've called several GameStops that received their last shipments today, and none of them have the Yawn traps. Looks like they are just false advertising to get people to come to their sale.

Why am I not surprised...

Aw, come on, man, let's be realistic - anyone who cares about that Fire Yawn trap would be going to the sale for KCC and the Shreadnaught trap anyway. This isn't some evil GameStop businessman sitting back at his desk, sitting on his huge stack of cash laughing at stupid Skylanders fans at the fact he's tricking them into stores all over the country.

Trap collectors are a small subset of the already small subset of players that collect. They don't even mark them as unique, so I doubt this was intentional at all.

Good point. If all the traps in the add were part of Skylanders Day, they wouldn't be register locked and we would see a lot more tech tiki traps on ebay by now.

Preorder for both the trap and the figure is on Gamestop. Took this route b/c I don't want to bother wasting my time and gas.

Just got back from my GS. They were somewhat organized, they had KCC behind the register along with the shrednaught trap. They allowed only one KCC per person, though it is buy one get one free on cores, but this was nice (deters the scalpers) went with dune bug for the freebie. I did preorder 3 (xbone, wii u, and wii) superchargers and received 3 exclusive traps free. Picked up the two remaining trap masters needed, B1GOF. They had no posters or yawn traps. Good luck to all.

Back from GS. Picked up 2 KCC with the BOGO core offer. Also received a garbage water trap FREE along with ShredNaught Trap

I think I missed something. What are yawn traps? Also, is Cadabara exclusive to gamestop only? I saw some but they all had those dreaded stickers on already.

Yawn traps look like either bugs or a guy with crazy teeth. King CC is a GS exclusive.

Got King and gotta say it's one of the best in game variants in Trap Team.
