Man, I'm loving all the crossover's to be honest. I'd be fine if Splatoon didn't get any other franchise in it, but hot damn, I really want Splatoon to cross over into other franchises.
Having an Inkling in Smash would be GREAT, and the Inklings are all but confirmed for costumes in Super Mario Maker.

I'm excited for the Skyscraper level, that looks fun. I guess there really won't be a Delfino Plaza map then.

I'm glad that Rainmaker is a Capture the Flag mode. That'll be really fun.

That Splatfest music sounds great!

Just a question as I don't have the game: how heavily does the game/gameplay rely on equipment and clothes? I want to get the game for the main gameplay, but nothing other than that. The equipment looks like it's a core mechanic, and I couldn't be bothered customizing my Inkling.

The game really doesn't rely on equipment and clothes all that much - the splattershot jr (the weapon that you are given when you start the game) is actually one of my favourite weapons and I used it until I was level 12/ 13. In addition, the clothes are simply perks for your inking such as faster respawn (normally 1 second faster), faster movement or the ability to see the other team on the map for a split second (there's far more perks) - but I'm sure that you can get away with playing as the basic character.

Saw this gem in the Amazon reviews for Splatoon:

I hope it's a good weapon because that name works too well for me.

With almost 35 weapons coming from now until August, I wouldn't doubt that they will be released faster than in the past.

OKAY SO I GOT THE LUNA BLASTER AND TRIED IT OUT

It's not for my playstyle, but what it lacks in range and firing speed, it makes up for in coverage and damage. It can cover a lot with one hit, and if you get up close, the Luna Blaster is a one hit kill.

Pikmin got to a million copies after about 5 months.

Animal Crossing got to 2.321 million sales in its entire lifetime.

We don't know exactly how much Codename S.T.E.A.M. made, but it's fair to assume that it's made less than 50k in 3 months. Whatever that number really is, it isn't a very high one.
