Saw the movie past night, here are my thoughts on it overall(spoiled for discussing spoilers):
First, the story. The story and writing is probably the worst thing in this film. While it does touch on themes of consumerism and whatnot, and I do like that, the problem with the story is that there were just too many subplots. The film really should've focused on Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's characters. There's just way too many characters in this film, and some of them feel forced in because of how little they're in the movie.
That being said, the acting is great for the most part. Chris Pratt gives an amazing performance in this film, and is one of the best parts about the movie. Bryce Dallas Howard gives a pretty good performance, as well as the kids in this film. And though he appears in the film very little, BD Wong's appearance n the film is a real nice throwback to Jurassic Park. The rest of the cast also gives solid(even if forgettable) performances. I think the problem with all the acting besides Chris Pratt's is that it's watered down thanks to its writing. for example, Vincent D'Onofrio gives a decent performance, but his character is forgettable and somewhat annoying because of his whole "let's weaponize this animal/device/etc" subplot. It's seriously cliched.
The visual effects in the film are great. The island and dinosaurs are fully utilized in this film, and gives a great sense of awe and terror. The use of the animatronics in this film, even for how little there were of them, were a great tool to use, and that scene with the dying Apatosaurus was one of the best scenes in the entire film. The music only makes scenes like this even better. The music overall is great. wonderful when it needs to be, and suspenseful when it needs to be.
Now let's talk about the dinosaurs. The Indominus Rex is awesome. This thing is absolutely terrifying. It's well designed, and its creativity is amazing. The only thing I really disliked about it was that some of what it could do I felt wasn't used as much as it should've been, such as its camo and its ability to communicate with other dinosaurs. The Mosasaurus was really cool as well, and all of the scenes it appears in were awesome. The Raptors are very well done. The whole training bit and the way in which they were used in the film was not only creative, but really smart. The scene with Chris Pratt driving his motorcycle with the raptors, along with the I-rex making them turn on the main characters, was also one of the film's best scenes. Finally, the T-rex is as awesome is ever. I thought the CGI for this dino was probably the worst, but that may be because I'm a bit spoiled for how it looked in Jurassic Park. it's still great nonetheless.
And finally, the ending sequence. Oh my god this fight was amazing. Not only did it look great, but it was well shot, had the best special effects in the whole film, and was overall terrifying but fun at the same time. I literally started jumping in my seat when the T-rex came out the fight the I-rex. I got panicked when I thought this film was going to pull a JP3 and have the I-rex kill the T-rex, and then i started flipping out again when the Raptor came to help. and the last scene with the Mosasaurus killing the I-rex was unexpected and glorious.
Overall, I enjoyed the hell out of Jurassic World. It has a lot of writing and character issues that bring the movie down a bit with its cliches and its overabundance of subplots, but the acting was great, the special effects were amazing, the music was excellent, the creativity factor is everywhere, and all the dinosaurs are well utilized, well thought out, and just awesome. I obviously wouldn't rank this above the first Jurassic Park, but I probably enjoyed it as much as I did The Lost World, and it was definitely better than Jurassic Park III, one of the worst movies i've ever seen. If you're a Jurassic Park fan, I don't think i need to tell you to go see this. But for those who love dinosaurs, love special effects, and/or are just looking for a great thriller, Jurassic World should not be overlooked. I give it an 8/10.
But what really made it awesome was when the T-Rex jumped out at the end of the battle and destroyed the Spinosaurus skeleton. I loved that part.
This isn't directed at you specifically, btw.

Why can't people just accept that Spino is the bigger and superior predator compared to T-Rex, and that Spino rightfully won instead of being so salty about it?
People complain about how Spino killing T-Rex is a "low blow" towards the fans of JP1, but then you have the director of JW taking a blow at the fans of JP3.
It's really childish, tbh, especially when the director's taking part in it.
Spino won fair and square and T-Rex lost, that shouldn't be that hard of a concept to grasp.
If you still think T-Rex is the biggest and baddest predatory dinosaur to have ever lived, then you're sadly mistaken.
It's not the 90's anymore and multiple larger, deadlier predatory dinosaurs have been discovered over the past several years, including Spino.
T-Rex is no longer the "king of the dinosaurs" like we were raised to believe (and hasn't been for a very long time, I might add), so don't get upset when a bigger predator snaps the neck of a smaller, inferior one.
Don't get me wrong, T-Rex is awesome, but that doesn't mean that it's automatically going to win against any other dinosaur it goes up against no matter what.
I really want to see this movie, but now a small part of me doesn't knowing that people are going to be so childish about this, including the director.
And no, I don't care if people don't like JP3, but you can't deny that Spino was a deadlier predator than T-Rex.
Does that automatically mean that T-Rex would lose? Not necessarily, but in JP3 he did and it was on fair terms.
I wish people would realize and understand this, that's all.

Also, I realize that some of my previous post were a bit hostile, so I apologize for that.
are you trolling or do you happen to lack any sort of knowledge on common paleontology.
spinosaurus mainly ate fish and had a thin, elongated jaw with hollow and thin teeth with a weak bite force.
tyrannosaurus rex, when it's bite force was tested, it was over 12,800 pounds and it hunted dinosaurs like hadrosaur
in the movie, the sub-adult t-rex bites the spino's neck, which should have instantly ended the battle.
t-rex would have kicked spino's butt in any instance. if the spino in the movie was genetically modified, it might have been excusable.

You didn't have to be rude about it, excuse me for not knowing something that isn't common logic.
The one in the movie was clearly genetically modified to some degree anyways, so...
forgive me for being rude, as i didn't intend to be.
it wasn't really stated in the movie that it was genetically modified so i always assumed it was just a regular spinosaurus, but hey, who knows what kind of crap ingnen did.
