Why haven't we had sex yet? [CLOSED]

Like I said, my girlfriend is pansexual. The way she explained it to me is that pansexuals really don't care about gender at all. Almost as if pansexuals are attracted to sex itself.

I don't know, it's very complicated.

Now, in true, physical practice, there is no difference between bisexual and pansexual, because it's biologically impossible for a human being to be neither male nor female.

To be completely honest, I don't really take most of the tumblr people seriously when they declare themselves agender or something crazy like otherkin, because I think they're just trying to be different. Nothing wrong with that, of course.

1) Intersex people exist.

2) Actually, gender has to do with the layout of your brain. This is why trans and non-binary people exist. It's very hard for me to explain, so sorry if that's confusing.

3) And as I said, otherkin isn't a gender. It's a spiritual belief.

Yes, I know what otherkin is. Otherkin-esque beliefs are deeply rooted in indigenous religions (i.e. some groups of Native Americans), and therefore I don't think the tumblr kids really know what they're talking about, having looked it up on the Internet instead of actually living it. But like I said, there's nothing wrong with that, so I don't judge.

You're right, I forgot about intersex people. But they typically tend to be closer to one gender than the other (same with non-binary and trans). Biologically speaking, there is no such thing as a "third gender." Maybe millions of years from now, the human race will evolve to a point that there are multiple genders. But for now, there are two.

Well this exploded.
I feel the need to say sorry for coming off as a douchebag, which I really did. So sorry for offending anyone.
It's just that sometimes I spend too much time on the net and seeing people use genders like Clothes where they just change them day to day is really annoying. Guess when I said my statement I didn't really think of the actual community of Agender Intersex and whatever else I'm not aware of. I guess I don't really like the term pansexual because it's just more labels, and having to know all these things can get pretty tiring. However just because I don't understand something, doesn't mean I should't anknowledge its existence.

Sorry!

I do admit that I get rather annoyed with the amount of labels there is now, because I honestly feel that there doesn't need to be so... many...? Like, the main ones for sexuality are straight, ace, gay, lesbian, bi and pan, but there are heaps more, along with multiple combinations of things, like for example: heteromantic greysexual. I certainly don't think there's anything wrong with this at all, and I support LGBTQ rights. But I just feel that we're making sexuality (and even gender for that matter) a lot more confusing then it needs to be....?

I've also noticed people, tumblr in particular, seem to be hating on people who are hetro, cis and white (especially hetro, cis, white, males), because they haven't suffered enough...? It's hard to explain, but it's reminding me of the whole extreme feminism thing again...?

People need to be special snowflakes and be recognized for their individuality but they still want labels to define themselves because yeah that makes sense.

It's because sexual and romantic orientation are separate things, but people tend to treat them as the same thing.
If your romantic orientation is different to your sexual orientation, your are cross orientated.
I'm cross orientated.
You can't complain about it being too complicated and should be simpler because that's what these people are at the end of the day. It's simple once you get your head around the fact that romantic and sexual orientation are different and don't have to match.

This site explains it well and has a clear chart.

I just watched a documentary about asexuality. I felt bad for the guy at the end because he was talking about thinking that it might be better for him to get into a romantic relationship with a sexual person, but you could clearly tell that he was talking about giving up a huge part of himself in order to have the sort of stable romantic relationship that he needed. Like a homosexual person saying they'll have to find a straight partner of the opposite sex to have a romantic relationship that might involve a form of sex that they're very uncomfortable with.

Sexual and romantic orientation are clearly very separate things entirely.

Sexual is what you find physically attractive, what gets you off basically. It's purely based on sex.
Romantic is love. So developing a crush on someone for their personality. Sure a lot of things start out based on physical attraction, but when you are in love with someone that is your romantic orientation kicking in.

So someone could find women sexually attractive - they want to have sex with them, but not find men sexually attractive so wouldn't want to have any sexual relations with them. However if they are biromantic they can develop romantic feelings for both genders - so they can crush and fall in love with men and women.

actually biologically there is a such thing as a third or other gender, due to things like Turner syndrome (only having a single X chromosome, as opposed to having XX or XY), Klinefelter syndrome (having a chromosomal arrangement of XXY), and several others sex chromosome alignments such as XYY or XXYY. many people with these "abnormal" chromosomes can live completely normal lives.

It seems like it would be extremely tough unless you found another asexual person to get into relationship with or found a sexual person who doesn't mind being celibate or to have sex only for the purpose of having kids, assuming that's what you and your partner would want to do.

lmao same. like, if they're bothered by it then that's their problem, not mine. i'm personally glad that i didn't have my first time in my younger teenage years. and i have had no worries of sexually transmitted diseases or unwanted pregnancy. i also see it as a good test when dating, since an actual person who likes you would person would want to go out with you whether you've had sex or not.

EDIT: dude wtf you're like, 16 or something why are you worried about being a virgin at that age? omg society these days. are kids expected to have had sex at like, 13 or something now? it's bad enough that 18 year olds get called a virgin if they haven't done it yet.

okay, that's probably going a bit too far. i personally find all these different identifications pointless but if people want to use them then they're fine too. i don't really care. i personally much rather just have all these identities gone and have no one be labeled as anything. i personally don't really like how the term 'cis' seems to have come out of the blue ether, or at least people are sprouting that word more commonly than usual now. i don't know if that term has been here for centuries, but i've only heard of it the beginning of this year.

Kids these days know a lot more than you'd think.

They shouldn't and I don't want them to.

My kid will not get a phone until 16 and will not know about sex until at least 15

He can say '****' as much as he likes but he will not get five hundred dollar beets that cost only fourteen dollars to actually make (if you buy beets you're literally getting scammed)

This just goes to show where my priorities on raising my children stand.

You know public schools start Sexual Education at 5th grade
Girls start menstruation around 13-15 on average

Point being, you don't need to take away a children's fun to keep them under control and if YOU need to, I hope to god you can't have kids

Oh boi.. looking back on this I disagree with myself and I was kind of being a tool. I was probs pissy with mood swings the day I wrote this, shout out to bipolar disorder, anyways, I now disagree with the sex thing, but honestly I feel that in terms of materialistic things my point is pretty fair, kids at 11 having smartphones and swearing constantly and jist having everything really scares me and I really dont want that for my kid, i can't keep him from learning things, so that's fair, not sure what I was thinking when I typed this? But i regret typing it tbh. But saying you hope I cant have kids? THAT is not proving any of your points, that's a simply atrocious thing to say to a person. People also gain maternal instincts when they have kids and they are generally more 'grown up' I'm just a stupid teenager rigjt now, what the **** do I know? But I'll learn from mistakes, and I consider saying all tbat **** in my first post a mistake, I acknowledge youre correct in your points but the fact you said if I feel a certain way or want to raise my kid a certain way sholuld result in me being sterile just is awful

What people need to understand is that kids these days are not actually all satan.
It all comes down to your parenting, if you teach your kid that he can get whatever he wants, them yeah he'll be a spoiled little *****. However not all kids have phones and beats, that's just what some hipsters on Facebook are saying. Back in say the 90's, kids weren't magical beings which were all nice and obedient. Like I said, it all comes down to your parenting.
But yeah waiting until your kid is 15 to teach him what sex is is terrible, and would probably increase rates of STD's and teen pregnancies if all parents did that.
But saying that you should be sterile is just terrible and nobody Should wish that upon anyone...

Yea, I really regret saying that thing about sex.

I know not every kid is like that, but the fact we have such an impacting social media selection with all these spoiled kids and even spoiled parents it's just kind of scary to the point where it's like, well I don't want my kid to be like that, I mean, I got a flip phone at 15, I didn't even need it til then, but all these expensive things that kids have at such a young age it's just like why? We didn't need that when we were kids, why do kids need that now? Iunno, times change I guess.

Well I got by first phone when I started High School when I was 12, and I only use it to text my mom every morning to tell her I'm alive. Out of all my friends, I can only thing of 2 who have phones, the rest don't. Only certain rich kids have iPhones of Nexus 6's. And in terms of expensive things, what about back then when kids got Gamecubes or PS2's instead of PS4's or Xbox One's? That's not that different. Heck I payed for my Xbox by myself.
But again, everyone is different and you can't generalize.
