I saw Jurassic World last night at a drive in theatre and my god... It was amazing! (Still not as good as How to Train Your Dragon though...)
I like how it can be viewed as a stand alone movie as well as part of the series and they did a great job with the effects and dinosaurs!
If anyone has seen this movie what did you think?

I really loved the old JP's so my opinion will probably be a bit biased. Story-wise it looks like an exact copy of the first movie, so there's nothing new there. The special effects look bit out of place to me, and the gyrospheres are just ridiculous.
I haven't seen it yet, but I probably will. I get the feeling that this movie will probably be forgotten in a few years. |

It was good, and the cgi was okay, but I wished that they used more animatronics like the first movies. The only time I saw use of animatronics was when... (Spoilers)
...the Brontosaurus was dying. It was obviously a real animatronic they were using, and it looked amazing. They should have added in more scenes like this, it gives the sense that they were actually there, instead of cgi that looked and felt unreal.

MAYBE JP3 NEVER HAPPENED, THE REX IS ALIVE AND GRANT NEVER WENT BACK FOR A COMPLETELY STUPID REASON SUCH AS MONEY, MAYBE HE DID MARRY ELLIE, MAYBE BILLY WAS NEVER REALLY, RAPTORS NEVER TALKED, ANIMATRONICS WERE USED MORE THAN CGI, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, IT WAS ALL A DREAM....RIGHT?

I like many bad movies. You're allowed to like it, it just doesn't make it a good movie, you know that I'm sure. Sess, in the first movie, the Rex had motive, it had been captured, locked in an exhibit for its entire life and now it's out and can exact revenge, it's ****ing starving. The Rex had so many encounters with the characters up close and personal, it even saves them in the end In JP2 the Rex's motives make sense cuz of their babies. Grant's and Ian's Motives make sense in 1 and 2, in 1 it's the promise of Dino's, in 2, it's to save Ian's gf, in 3 it's cuz two people who have been scamming dozens of people offer grant a bunch of one's and zero's on paper....What? 1 already was the promise of money, Grant goes against his own ****ing morals for money. And Spino? He doesn't even interact with them, he's just there, the T-Rex was an antagonist, there are no antagonists in 3, it's just Raptors who want food, and Spino who is a monster, Rex was not a monster, it was an Animal, that explains its desires, Spino has no motivation other than eat and destroy, it snaps a Rex's neck, why? To piss off fans of the OG? JP3 the Spino is there and then it isn't, the end. I can go on for paragraphs and paragraphs, hours as to why 3 is a bad movie If you wanna present your reasons to liking it I'd love to hear them.

Okay, let's get things straight then First movie Grant would never have gone against his morals, even if he needed the money, sure he accepted the money from Hammond but that's because there was no promise of danger, in 3 there is, money is no good if you're dead. Spino is what...Like....More than forty feet tall? Something around that, thinking humans are a threat and chasing them around the island for 80 minutes is something it wouldn't do, it wouldn't just hunt them, it's like a Rex being afraid of Compsognathus, it wouldn't happen Pretty sure they heard the thing, it chased them off, they got in the plane, and she literally ****ing jumps in front of the plane, it knew what it was doing, Spino is intelligent. Threat? What.....What threat? The were no threat, even the Rex in 1 knew that, Rex was just hungry af, Spino was just hungry af aswell, but it doesn't make sense for it to be so hungry as to chase them for an hour an a half Let me just tell you, that Spino kills the postergirl of the first two movies, snaps its ****ing neck, and doesn't even eat it (I'm pretty sure it doesn't, it's been awhile) That's....That's not really surviving, if she were so hungry, why not eat the rex? And when that movie was coming out, they advertised this huge fight with Spino and Rex and it last twenty seconds...Seriously? No doubt that a Spino would win cuz it's like, near half the size of a rex, but having the Spino kill the Rex? It made no sense, the rex didn't need to be there, did it? Why not kill a Carnotaurus instead? Oh yea, cuz JP3 wanted to piss off fans, they needed peeps to realize Spino was 'better' than Rex, but we didn't need that bull**** And Spino had an entire island, hell Spino's can ****ing swim, she could have gone anywhere, ANYWHERE, but she coincidentally keeps winding up with the humans and chasing them, She had the whole island. Almost everyone says that it's a bad movie, it's coequally known (by critics, and most people in the fandom at least) for the most part that it's an awful JP movie. It's not as bad as say, the Star Wars prequels, or manos hand of fate, but it's not a good movie. Is it alright and watchable? Eh...Sure? But is it good? I wouldn't go that far personally. yay, friendly arguments/debates

Wow...I don't like the fact you think it's a 'card' How is that a 'card'? It was a point I was trying to make, I'm not going to say your points are **** wtf It seems you're getting hostile, but I was just trying to have a friendly debate wtf, you can't convince me otherwise and I can't convince you. I'd continue debating my points but it seems you don't enjoy it. I am aware to why the battle happened, but not as to WHY, if that makes any sense I never said you couldn't like this movie tho, I absolutely LOVE the first Ninja Turtles move from the 90's but it's a bad movie, just because movie is bad doesn't mean it isn't....Good, na'mean? You can say it's good...Can i not say it's bad? I could debate for much longer, trying to disprove your points and prove mine, and you might be able to do the same, but I'll stop cuz I don't think this is going to go anywhere tbh I mean....Th-Nope...Not gonna say anything, gonna keep my mouth shut on the prequel business.

Eh, that's like saying that Hell's Kitchen season 1 is better than season's 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 12 and 13. The latter of which are better, but because season 1 was the OG, it's the best. I like HK1, but there's better seasons after it.

The reviews I've seen so far are really mixed. Several sources I've read are giving it like 8 out of 10 whilst several others are giving it like 4 out of 10. I'm most likely gonna see it with my friends when schools out on the 24th, so then I can actually decide how I feel on it. Plus... dinosaurs.

I just got back, and I thought it was good. I had just watched Jurassic Park last night, and I felt like they were similar enough in most aspects that you could tell they were of the same movie series, yet separate enough that it didn't feel like it was just a remake. The movie was definitely a roller coaster of emotions, with some, IMO, pretty sad scenes mixed in with the action. Chris Pratt's character was bada**, and for once, wasn't the one making all the jokes, which was revitalizing if you look at all the roles he has played in the past. The relationship between the brothers was endearing, and honestly pretty adorable at times(although the youngest one really needs a haircut). It did a really good job at making you hate the bad guys(not the dinosaur). It's not my favorite movie of 2015, but it was still pretty good. I'd put it in my Top 10 favorites of the year. Slightly spoiler-y sentiment upcoming:
I really didn't like the death of the assistant lady. It felt dragged on, reminiscent of a Final Destination death w/o the blood and gore.

But jeeze they were some intense arguments... Here is how I view them 1. Jurassic park (obviously) 2. Jurassic World 3. Jurassic park 3 4. The lost world: Jurassic park I do like 3 though. Just cuz it's on the island and... Dinosaurs

You do realize these aren't works of non-fiction? No one actually brought a t rex into new york of course it's stupid, who gives a ****, it didn't actually happen. WAT this may seem hostile but I'm just very perplexed with your reasoning being 'because it was stupid' I do agree bringing the rex there was stupid tho And I can understand your reasoning, I mean, lost world was kinda boring in a lot of ways, plus the kcikng raptor scene

I'm...Annoying cuz I gave an opinion? Wut. I never said anything about the T-rex dying in that post, I implied that the fact 3 downgrades environments from NYC to an island is kinda stupid. I thought you were the one who said you can like the things you like and so can I and vice versa...But now you're kinda going back on that. I'm not trying to start any fights but it seems to be you want to start one. Also you're kind of being childish to mock me for sharing opinions... The T-rex dying isn't the epitome of awfulness in JP3 in my opinion, I never stated it was, so i'm not sure why you decided to bring that up tbh
