Of course I know who he is...

He's the one that banned memes. Barack Obama's spoiled white cousin. Everyone knows this.

He kept his youth by bathing in the blood of his enemies which was pre-boiled over the flames of 1,000 burning Babushka dolls.

Fact time!

His real name was Josif Dzhugashvili.

He was a Georgian peasant, and not Russian.

Stalin was his nickname. It means "man of steel" and he got it because he survived multiple sentences to the Tsar's labour camps after being sent there for being a Bolshevik and for being involved in plots and stuff. Also, it was probably because he could bend a bar of steel on his soldiers.

He was mentally unstable, being very paranoid and suspicious. He always wanted more power so he could protect himself and his position, but that made people hate him more, so then he needed more power. That's why he was a meanie...

Now, who knows who Trotsky is?

Fascism and communism (Stalin was the latter) are two different political ideologies lying at opposite ends of the spectrum. Fascism is at the far right and its principles were adopted by Mussolini and Hitler (albeit the latter led the Nazi Party, a form of fascism). Communism is at the far left and, in theory, advocates more extreme socialist ideals. Just because Stalin initially allied with Hitler and Mussolini in WWII doesn't make him a fascist.

And before anyone thinks I'm defending him, I'm not. He's pretty much the reason my great-grandparents had to flee USSR for the United States.

politically speaking, it would be more factual to call stalin a stalinist (thus the name) than a communist. under stalin's rule, the USSR wasnt really anything like how a theoretical communist government would actually run.
