The world lost a true treasure of cultural history, indeed. Christopher Lee was truly an extraordinary man with passion to indulge in multiple various passions which not only enriched his own astonishing life but all of ours as well. His movie performances especially in horror and fantasy films were top notch and most iconic. He was also volunteering to help young nation of Finland in Winter War struggles against Soviet Union which shows a tremendous quality of character.

To me personally he has been close to my heart since even in his age he blessed heavy metal enthusiasts by providing voice over for Rhapsody of Fire and making few albums of his own about his ancestors Charlemagne’s life. May his essence rest in peace and find new worlds in unknown levels of existence. Rest in peace and all the best and my condolences to his family.

You guys I loved him so much, truly amazing actor, one if the best. While I'm sad and close to tears in his death, after reading Sean Astins Biography and seeing how close they all were, I can't even imagine what they're all feeling. Truly horrible loss

According to one news article Sir Lee’s family wanted to tell all the family members and closest circle of people first before announcing the unfortunate news to public. This is what I made out of that article. And I think that is an act of good taste and both sensitive and right thing to do.

I loved him so much as Dracula and Frankenstein's monster. He was such a great actor.
