So today I was going through my basement and I found my brother's old NES. The only game he had for it was the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt Duo game. I was wondering what games for it I should get first. Any suggestions?

Final Fantasy 1-3 are horribly dated. Also, do not play on NES. it's not worth the investment and broken cartridges. play FFIV on SNES or GBA. for an NES recomendation, play SMB3 on GBA. play mega man 1 2 and 3 on PSN or VC |

If you can find it, the original Legend of Zelda is pretty fun. I'd also recommend Metroid and Mega Man 2.
Also if you have a retro game store nearby, go there, they're sure to have some. |

bad dudes
the thing i miss the most about the nes is that some of the games were actually challenging, i really miss that in games.

Punch-Out!! is a must-have. It's really fun and quite addicting.
If you want something challenging, get Ghosts N' Goblins, but be aware that it's considered one of the hardest NES games of all time by several (Silver Surfer is worse, though). If none of that sounds good, get Super Mario Bros 3.

Mega Man games are kind of a no-brainer if you're looking for fun NES games. They still hold up pretty well.
Punch Out is pretty fun too.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions. I think I'll go for Mega Man and Punch-Out first.

If possible, I'd go for the Virtual Console releases if you have a Wii or Wii U. They're much cheaper than buying online and you don't have to worry about anything breaking.

Uninvited. One of the best Point-n-click Survival Horror games you'll ever play... until you DIE!

Kirby's Adventure. It aged very well for an NES game.
