I highly doubt skylanders will actually ever have midnight releases as children are the target audience and they can't just go get it in the middle of the night. A Friday release may very well be accurate as Call of Duty has also changed day to Friday for a worldwide release.

Two weeks before is one thing, but less than a day before the reveal? That's just trying to get extra views/likes/reblogs.

Exactly, Aura. A leak this late(or any kind, really) is not what you expect of supposedly responsible press. Assuming they're under a NDA and didn't just happen upon this, of course.

Activision *knows* leaks like this are bound to happen, be it mommy blogger leaking a pic, Amazon leaking listings, random European site leaking launch figure photos or Walmart leaking the names of the entire line-up. While Activision will try to contain the leaks (hah), they know what Mark Twain knew about secrets... if they absolutly don't want the public knowing it, mommy blogger isn't going to know it either.

Leaks like this are calculated into the overall business plan.

I would even say they are wanted and not only taken into consideration.

Not sure I like the new bird charecter all too much, but I will give it points for seeming to be a female character...

The Skylanders twitter is already posting pictures of the reveal party. No new stuff of course, just stuff like an entire table of Gill Grunt stuffed toys.

Also, we shouldn't start coming up with good names for bird lady when we only have a bit until we learn her name.

You are right it's just that I'm currently extremely hyped and cannot help but fuel this excitement.

Anyway, they are already posting images from the reveal...?
Guess we might get some blurred pic of new characters/vehicles like we did last year for Snap Shot, Food Fight, Wildfire, Funny Bone, Chopper, Wallop and a bunch of traps.

But yeah,Clawbellows/Flyer Kraken/Whatever Else was fun because there were a whole two weeks until the reveal but this is literally tomorrow. We'll end up having the confusion we had over Stormee/Whirlwind from SSA again.

Squinting of the century here for me. Stealth Elf,Triggs and Terrafin on top, I think Spitfire at the bottom if his flames are blue? The mechanical wings are there.

As I already said in the Air Skylander topic, AMAZING catch!

I can easily make out S4 Trigger Happy, Stealthy Elf and Terrafin (hooray...) and... Those look like Magic, Water and... Tech (?) vehicles.

They look... Modern.
At least the right one.

Also, just a thought but I don't like this new conformation of the logo.
Kinda screws things up too since we already had that color for Giants.

Actually Giants is reddish orange. This is full-on red, so it's distinguishable... Most of the time.

Also I genuinely like that they're making the reposes NEW. From what I can tell, they might end up being entirely new characters and NOT just have Wow Pow's considering how much they seem changed.
