I'm in the middle. I generally focus on covering the map first to give me and my teammates ink to go fast through and refill with, and then when we are approaching the enemy, we have plenty of maneuverability.

I think the only Cons that I have with the game is that it doesn't use your NNID for your name, voice chat, and that you can't change classes in the lobby.

Getting this game friday it looks great.

It's opening up to positive reviews so far.

Some critics (like IGN) are withholding an official score until the game releases to see if servers hold up, though they already have a review posted.

I agree, man. First time I got the splatoon demo and tried it, after having played only CoD and Battlefield for years, I was so disappointed. I couldn't Doowop an Skippity Uppity Airslap into a Wavedashed Cockdump Sparklenut. You aren't even allowed to Spitshine a ledge canceled Dickknob after twirlywhirly dibbidybobbidyboo 2: Electric Boogaloo. ****ing inexcusable. I really hope all of nintendo dies so the series can see its full potential.

While I don't think Spaltoon is all that great at launch myself (I don't like giving ratings to games, but if I had to, Splatoon would be a 6/10 to me. No higher, in it's current state), zero has an obsession with bringing up how much he doesn't like it everywhere.

The weirdest part is that it isn't even bitterness from having suffered through a game he paid for and ended up not liking - it's just pure attention seeking at this point, with how much he feels the need to rag on it.

On topic: Game looks fun in spite of some of the shortcomings. But I'm working out-of-state so I will not have my Wii U. So I won't be picking this up initially. <.>;

The game would probably earn a solid 7.5/10 from me. Maybe less with the lack of content at launch, and maybe more once more content is added later this summer.

Been playing the game for about an hour and a half, it's pretty great so far. Not thrilled about the lack of maps, but I can wait for the updates, there's enough to keep me entertained until then.

It's not their fault they couldn't finish the game in time, games like this takes time to make, just be glad it wasn't pushed back and the updates are free.

Eeeeeh I'm gonna have to disagree there. Features like being able to form a party with friends and stay with them should not require updates. Plus, it's blatant some stuff is just being held back for the sake of it, they've got more maps done than what they released.

It is their fault. Especially the very early reveal of the game at E3 2014, where the game was only 10% done, and that demo was just a vertical slice. I would've MUCH preferred the game being pushed back to have all this content already on the disc, rather than a beta on a disc.

I'm so excited! I was able to grab a three pack of the amiibos and when I traded in my games at games top to buy it I actually got my 10$ down payment back in cash!

Today was good!

I'm definitly going to get this game, but it will probably be in about a month or two, as there are other things I want too.
