I just watched the video and it seems like he was talking about a wrap up of the recent news and leaks rather than something completely new and official.

He said that they would be the "first ones" but they might be first one outside of this forum to spread this knowledge.
Yes I know various videos and even articles popped up recently about these infos so they might actually have something brand new to stare with us along with said news. smilie

Interesting. So it seems that some press may have some idea to what the next game holds. So maybe vehicles may not be the gimmick. The reveal should be in the next week or so if that German magazine is to be believed.

While I agree the reveal will most likely be made in the next couple of days I don't think knowing it will be featured at the E3 automatically excludes his official announcement there.

After all the game was announced back in April or March if I remember correctly, and we already knew it was in development shortly after Trap Team came out.
We know it will be there but it's still listed as "Skylanders 2015".

I was thinking the same, maybe retailers are preparing for preorders? Remember, when trap team was announced, you could preorder it immediately after.

You notice what's missing from that list?

A tablet version. Not surprised. It sold horribly, as far as I can tell. They've tried PC once and it did extremely poor. The first iOS bundle didn't do much and it had exclusive figures in it. The third attempt at an outside-the-norm release was neat, but I just don't see the audience there who wouldn't prefer to play it on their big screen. At the very least, they should have packed in an exclusive figure (similar to the first three 3DS games) to encourage folks with a console and a tablet to pick it up as well.

But who knows, maybe they'll still pull out a tablet version.

Ok, now I'm confused.

I've just read four italian articles regarding Travis Pastrana and Doctor Cupcake's leaks and... Good Eon they ALL say different (and false) things.

One says that Travis helped developing the game and another that provided motion captures (?!).

Another says that Doctor Cupcake said that vehicles will be upgradable and will be able to swap parts.

There is even one claiming that he said the new game's title is "Overdrive"!
And the craziest thing is that he really said that!

Ok, all those things might be true... But... COME ON, why do article's writers have to add imaginary things to what they write...?

Well there was somewhere else that listed no Wii version but had a tablet version. This one is the other way around. More than likely, they will have both.

They could probably find a way to make the vehicles work with the Villain Vault parts if they work like Traps as complex magic items but of course they won't. Reason one being because VV will want a design for their own game's gimmick,second because money.

Trap Tean isn't "the last" Wii game. There's another title coming out later this year (although, as part of a Wii/Wii U Bundle). I have it preordered.

It's my understanding, and take this with a grain of salt, as I'm just some dude on the internet, but the Wii SKU of Trap Team outsold all "Next Gen" systems and was only outsold by the 360 version.

It is also my limited understanding that the Wii U was the third best-selling SKU.

This is why the conversion rate (Wii U download codes redeemed) is important. And I figure the only ones who know that are Nintendo and Activision.

*Note, by "SKU", I'm combining all versions for a particular system (So, regular, dark, legendary, super, etc.).

Working retail, I know the Wii and Xbox 360 versions of Skylanders are usually the ones that sell out, while the other systems sell moderately well. However at some point Activision is just going to say the Wii's hardware is just too dated to port a version over to it. Heck, look at the broken piece of work that was Swap Force for the Wii. I will be genuinely surprised if Sky5 has a Wii port. They could surprise us though. They could scrap the 3DS port and just make a Wii port - a separate adventure from the other consoles.

If there is no tablet version for Sky 5...then no Sky 5 for me.

Because my only other viable things I could play it on would be PC (not gonna happen) and Wii U. Japanese. Region Locked.
