That moment when people think you don't like Vegetarians.

I do like them. I don't mind them at all. I just love eating meat. And yet, I'm a massive animal lover.

I was about to write one of the long posts I usually do but since I’ve become lazy and in my boredom trying to approach things in different angle, I am just going to post a simple list maybe with brief explanatory details. So here are my immediate turn-offs.

Lack of sense of humour
Okay this is one of the most important things to me since the spectrum of sense of humour tells volumes about the person. To me wider spectrum of sense of humour is better; from toilet humour to highly sinister humour dipped in the bowl of depths of depravity. Nothing is worse than uptight SJW whose mission in life is to consider every damn aspect of existence as holy and never-to-be-touched by jokes.

Overly ambitious attitude
If you are not able to enjoy simple, feet-to-the-round, one’s-head-out-from-one’s-backside life without bigger or higher scheduled life goals, you are definitely out.

Overly clingy personality
It’s okay to like one another but every-day, every-hour, every-minute, every-second basis perpetual communication is way too much. Let me have my own free time to spend.

Being and outlaw/Serious law-offender
We are all capable of crime but I love my freedom too damn much to be involved with person with criminal tendencies.

I’ll end this here since there are other qualities that turn me off as well. But I think that the other qualities are of that kind I could be flexible with at occasions.

I might give you more opinions... for a small fee of course.

It's worth noting that having a turn-off does not equal being judgemental.

Having a turn-off doesn't mean you are actively being critical of someone's character. That's what being judgemental is (and being judgemental is healthy in moderation, just don't make it a defining trait of yours). Turn-offs are exactly what they say on the tin - things that get in the way of your attraction to someone. They are natural, and not something we make a conscious effort to have, nor can we actively get rid of them a lot of the time. They may also encourage natural coping mechanisms. For example, it turns me off when people smoke more than a little too much, but it's not a deal breaker. However, it would make me naturally treat things differently. For one thing, I would probably always walk a little in front of them, since the smoke trails behind them and I would inhale it if I was behind or beside them. And I would not allow smoking inside my house, I frankly don't want to deal with my own living quarters being filled with smoke and rather you just not make that happen to begin with. If you must smoke, take it outside, or at least fully open a window and sit by the edge of it, and make sure the smoke is going out that direction.

Regarding vegetarians - I see it as a legit turn-off. I don't have it, but I can see why it might be a turn-off. It means you have to constantly account for the fact that this person will only eat specific dishes of a specific variety, and you have to constantly make sure the house has enough stock of that food to fulfill their needs. It isn't like with people who don't have such a limitation, where you can buy any food and share mostly the same food tastes. And if you happen to be a cooking enthusiast, you probably enjoy making dishes that incorporate meat. And you might like to cook a wide variety of dishes to impress your partner. But if that partner is vegetarian, they will be impressed by/enjoy much less of your cooking than normal.

Also it might be generally awkward at times when the two of you are eating separate dishes, and then you run into the issue of when you have a kid - does he have to be vegetarian too? It's a big question, indeed.

To some people, all of those extra implications and all of the extra effort required to live with someone who is a vegetarian is daunting. And that's completely OK if you don't want to step up to that challenge, especially if the vegetarian in question is extreme about it.

However, with the exception of EXTREMELY extreme vegetarians who literally never shut up about it, vegetarians are not really a valid turn off to anyone below the age of 20 or if you don't intend to live with someone.

Well aware. I don't know if my post contributed to you writing this but what I meant by judgmental people is that I don't like anyone that will go out of their way to make people feel bad about themselves for things like sexuality, gender identification, kinks, hairstyle, or anything of that. I don't believe having turn offs makes someone judgmental, they are two different things.

Some other turn offs of mine:
  • Male. Mtf trans or previously physically male doesn't appeal to me romantically/sexually either. Sorry, just a preference that I can't overlook
  • Large breasts
  • I can't date someone who would be considered obese or is rather large. It's not my thing, sorry
  • Anyone who is really whiny and complains a lot. Can't take a joke, etc. And other unfavorable personality traits
  • Someone who is too dependent. I do not like relationships where the husband/boyfriend is making all the money through one job, and I think that both people should be involved in gaining income
  • I can't date a vegetarian/vegan either

  • I agree with what's being said here, including SB's post about being judgement doesn't equal turn offs. Except change that first point female. And take out the 2nd point obviously. The woman's body has never appealed to me romantically/sexually whatsoever. Hips are pretty cool but everything else is just eh. Never understood the appeal for huge breasts and asses ether since I think it makes woman look terrible.
