You might get jealous of your friends who get their licenses immediately and become driving fools, but I guarantee you, every damn one of them will have a wreck within 6 months. You might be the last one to get yours, but I promise you'll be the best driver.

Getting a driver's license as a teenager is kind of stupid anyways, because if you go far enough away to college you probably aren't going to have a vehicle, meaning that license you got at most two years ago (assuming you go straight to college) is pretty useless.

Actually, the only reason why most kids don't take their cars to college is because of outrageous parking fees, and most don't even let that stop them.

Still though, I did say "far enough" away. As in, probably a few states at least (or the equivalent for non-USA-ers)

I don't understand the want to drive. They teach you to drive safe and "defensively" but say **** like "There's a 70% chance you'll get in a car crash in 6 months" and "For every 10 mph over 50, your chances of dying in a car crash are doubled!" or "You can be the best driver, but one bad driver can cause your death!" like, yay? Am I supposed to want to drive knowing that I can die in a crash that's not MY fault? Wow, that really makes me want to drive, especially when I'm being cautious as **** and my dad's like "YOU HAVE TO BE MORE AGRESSIVE" like you're not driving, i'm not getting in a crash. /rantover

Just use common sense and you'll be fine.
