^The fact that Walmart is being thought of as the exclusive retailer for Palutena makes me cringe.

There are no Walmarts in NYC.

But do you have a source aside from that one image where Dark Pit showed up in Best Buy's systems while Palutena didn't?

Well we still have time to see if they'll be in other stores systems. We're 2 months away from release but they might be put in after the 29th after Wave 4

These shouldn't even be considered prototypes, rather just unpainted figures going through the manufacturing cycle.

Hmm.... A bit disappointing that the idea they toyed with earlier of letting you somehow order custom Mii-Amiibo of your Mii isn't getting done. While Mii-Fighter & Mii-Swordsman are some of my mains, I'm not entirely sure if I want these if they're based on the generic trophy.

They are aware of the stock issues and supposedly "fixing" them "soon," yet they continue to put more exclusives and restocks on the market in extremely limited quantities, sometimes with only 2 of a given figure per store! At this point I'm almost sure they're gonna purposely keep the stock low for the Smash line until all the waves are released, just to pump up the demand.

^Maybe they realize that after the Smash line is over a lot of people will jump ship and not care anymore, leaving Amiibo sales to decrease over time until the next Smash game.

Though you'd also think that with that in mind they'd make at least a little more to capitalize on that.

You also have to realize that Nintendo isn't shipping them directly to stores. These are arriving to warehouses/distribution centers for that store, and then they ship out however many they want to that store. It's not Nintendo's fault if a store only gets 2 of a figure and another store gets around 10, rather that store itself.

Still, it's almost a done deal that they'll continue the practice since retailers pay the big N for those rights.

Well it's common sense in the business world - if a company is gonna pay you top dollar to sell YOUR product for you, then you generally let them.

People who waited hours to preorder Greninja probably feel silly now.

The other TRU in my area on that list is showing 80.

It's sad because I lined up for 2 hours to preorder Greninja and Pac-Man, and yet I'm gonna have to line up again anyway for a chance at Robin/Lucina.

Not to mention Nintendo World guarantees them, and are allowing people to line up starting 8 AM Thursday for the midnight launch of wave 4 and Splatoon. Naturally this means people will start lining up on Wednesday night, so I may have to wait up to 7+ hours in THAT line should I try them.

I'm still going to TRU at 8 am. Not taking risks! (sets up tent with lawn chair and flat screen tv)

It seems like it'd be less stressful to just cut your losses and move on at this point if you find yourself obsessing over "having" to camp out for toys.

And even if he/she wasn't, it's not a bad thing. If you have the time to kill and can go early to these things, you generally should. Not only do you get a better chance at getting your figure, but there will be other people there too, whom you can socialise with.

Besides, TRU opens at 10 so I highly doubt arriving at 8 will really require a tent and TV.

And if you're referring to me I'm more pointing out the absurd nature of people lining up so early at NWS, and how long I'd likely wait if I chose to line up (I probably won't).

If other people are okay with lining up for 12 hours, why worry yourself over it?

Friday is shaping up to be interesting. Robin and Lucina are going to be super-hard to get, Target opens first and is limiting customers to two figures (total) per person, and, of course, they have an exclusive, which means you can't complete your collection at Target.

My wife has a catering job early Friday morning, so it's going to be interesting to make this work... but I think I can do it. :D

I found a way to make a target opening trip work, looking to nab robin and lucina. wish me luck.

Their twitter reps have actually confirmed that it's two per amiibo CHARACTER, so you can actually complete the collection if you want to at Target.

GameStop cancelled my Shulk reprint and my Robin, even though I was first in line at my store for both...

Two characters per person sound reasonable.

And the Twitter screwed up majorly; someone was even going to attempt a boycott through there (which was idiotic).

Good luck trying to stop the two guys at the front of the line from grabbing the four Robins and Lucinas they get.

If those guys are first, more power to them.
Seems the bigger issue is only shipping four to a store.

I'm going to. buy two of each, then resell them to whomever is last in line for exact retail. :p

My plans for friday.first at midnight hit walmart for anyone they get.Then at 6am head to target to get jiggly plus what I missed at Walmart (brining family now with the 2 per person rule.)After that i will rush to tru becuse my tru is getting 80 greninja's so I can proably get one becuse y town isn't that busy.Finally after all that head to BB for meta kinght and anybody else I missed.Wish me luck guys.
