Listen to the full track. The chorus at the end is damn good, and if you know the lore behind what's going on during the battle it only makes it even more depressing. FromSoftware really nailed it out of the park.

Okami final boss battle (Rising Sun) music is hands down the best.



It truly adds on to the experience considering the situation before the final and makes you really get into the fight. Its truly beautiful yet intense at the same time, and it's different to your usual final boss music. This game deserves more love and recognition; it's a friking masterpiece.

As an added bonus, it's actually an arrangement of the boss character's recurring theme that's used in other levels with 100% ominous Latin chanting. XP

It doesn't let me link it for some reason, but is no one going to say the final boss music of Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story? I remember I struggled so hard to defeat
the weird Fawful bug thing. Ugh, I could never suck it up before Dark Star Bowser did
