Looks like Ninty will finally be revealing their plans for E3 tomorrow at 12.

It also looks like they're teasing a Punch Out sequel in the picture. THE HYPE TRAIN IS LEAVING THE STATION LADIES AND GENTS.

Wait, so what does this mean? Does this mean they will say if they are announcing a new Starfox, or Metroid, or Mario, or something like that? If so...HYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

They will be announcing their E3 schedule, nothing more. They did this last year by making videos to announce and promote the Digital Event, the Treehouse, and the Smash Invitational.

They also have already confirmed that they will not be talking about mobile games or the NX at all. Just Wii U and 3DS (and probably Amiibo too).

Also worth noting that they said before that they're mostly going to focus on games releasing in 2015. They already confirmed Zelda isn't showing up and I doubt Fire Emblem If will get much either seeing how late we'll be getting that.

But that also means that anything they show and surprise us with is very likely to be on shelves by the end of the year. So be positive and hyped about that.

They already teased and more or less officially announced a new Star Fox game last E3. They announced it will be playable to the public this year, and should hopefully come out this holiday season ("the game will release before The Legend of Zelda").

And Next Level Games (Luigi's Mansion 2, Punch-Out Wii, Mario Strikers Charged) and Retro Studios are both confirmed to be working on something, so either one could be making a Metroid game for all we know (though I sooner expect NLG to be making a new Punch-Out).

Temper your expectations but I also wouldn't be surprised if a Metroid game did get announced this year.

I think a new Paper Mario for Wii U is pretty much a given at this E3, and I hope it does show up. I love Super Paper Mario, but never played the first two much, and skipped Sticker Star because it looks terrible. If they made a new one for the Wii U I'd definitely pick it up, as long as it isn't like Sticker Star.

^Took the words right out of my mouth. Miyamoto wanted to change Sticker Star because it was apparently too much like TTYD. But at this point I'd take something identical to TTYD. <.>;

Although, I'm keeping my hopes and expectations at a bare minimum. I really want to be excited for Star Fox, but the last good one was on N64...

Can't wait for another year to pass with F-Zero still missing in action.

I honestly hope they surprise us with something like a new Metroid or Punch-Out. They're going to need more than just Yoshi, Star Fox, and Xenoblade to keep the Wii U alive this holiday season.

Kind of want to see a traditional Kirby game be announced for Wii U but that's unlikely.

While I doubt it would happen, I'd love if the new Wii U Star Fox had the land battles from Assault, but improved. I thought they worked really well, though the controls and what not are admittedly a bit primitive. That was kinda due to limitations of the GC controller though.

Still, no other Star Fox game yet allows you to jump out onto the exterior of your Arwing as it's still flying, and start lobbing grenades, shooting rockets, etc, at your enemies on both the ground and in the air. The fact you could mix air and land stuff like that in Assault was what made it so cool. I could imagine Assault being amazing if it were online.

Although 64 actually is fun. Assault was such a chore to go through and the replay ability was so low.

Not at all. The game is still only 2-4 hours long. And you have three difficulties to go through. You also had various high score challenges to beat, searching for Special Flags, time trials, etc.

And doing these unlocked different characters for multiplayer who actually played differently. Plus you could unlock Galaga as a bonus game. It had plenty to do.

Not that replayability has any relevance to why I want the land battles with vehicles intact to still be a thing - I just think the core mechanics were awesome, and would stand out if brought back and improved today. Make it online and the replayability sky rockets, even without any other additions.

The base game wasn't fun, though. It was a chore.

How so? The Arwings worked exactly like Lylat Wars. And then Fox's movement on the ground was swift and nimble, and you had a lot of weapons to use. And as I mentioned earlier, you could pull various clever stunts like flying in your Arwing and standing outside of it, and shooting people from there, or jump off of it for it quick entry into higher ground.

Only real problem was that there was no crouch or dodge roll, and cycling between weapons was a bit of a chore, but a Wii U controller would fix this just fine.

I'd like the flight control of 64 and improved on-foot gameplay (namely controls). Even if that just equates to being an improved Assault.

Also in both cases the game seems too short. Maybe I'm asking for a bit much but I'd like a 10 hour story or something if they don't include online multiplayer (which they should).

On foot missions are awful.
Controls are a mess.
One path you can go through.
Air missions being no where near as fun as they were in 64.
No mode to play just through the stages and skip the cutscenes.
Did I mention it plays like ass?

Only thing it had going for it at the time was the good graphics.

At the very least, I would appreciate it if Nintendo brought the Assault voice cast back for Star Fox Wii U. I always found them infinitely more enjoyable to listen to, but old 64 voices in Smash 4 were terrible, even by Nintendo's terrible dubbing standards (which is pretty much every game except Punch-Out Wii and Kid Icarus Uprising). <.<

How do we know if it's even a Punch-Out teaser? It's honestly just saying that Reggie is getting his body ready...
