People do use the gaming thread. But we're allowed to post stuff pertaining to video games in stuff and nonsense, it attributes to the 'stuff' aspect.

This as originally one of those stupid 'turn my name into a movie' threads.

Hmm... probably either Pokemon Sapphire or MarioKart, any version, all still give the same nostalgia feels.

In all fairness the Video Gaming board is still used fairly heavily, largely with All Purpose threads.

Like he said at the end, it was originally one of those movie title name-change threads in an attempt to make it a trend. Once initial backlash started, it was transformed into video-game thread and once made, couldn't be moved by the OP. Now it's just a matter of waiting until a Hunter moves it if they feel need to.

It just makes me annoyed that you feel most everything pertaining to anything video game related in the least needs to be in the video game section, I don't understand someone can't ask a question in S&N in a thread that pertains to video games to get an opinion from a board that is way more active and isn't even hurting anybody.

That's pretty much what I meant. If talk about games isn't allowed here, shouldn't most conversation in S&N be moved to IC as well?

I'm all for moving the more serious discussions (politics, world news, etc) back to IC. But unfortunately I don't think that alone will raise activity in the section more than it will just deprive those threads of attention.

I'd suggest moving the discussion into a new thread or PM if necessary. I know S&N is partly about off topic discussions but this is just a little overboard. And if things continue to grow hostile I'm going to lock the whole thing entirely.
