Not exactly. It's the day we beat the French and Napoleon III. Mexico Independence Day is in September btw.

Not exactly. It's the day we beat the French and Napoleon III. Mexico Independence Day is in September btw.


Mexico beat the strongest nation in the world when they were outnumbered 3 to 1. Although we lost the war, they take pride in winning a battle when they were the ultimate underdogs.
