"Well, now you know. There is no way Cairo would have given up power just like at." the orca explained, knowing Cairo way too well. Before he could continue, his brother called.
"Hey bro! Come on, what are you waiting for? Remember that we still need to pull that annoying algae off our rocks." he said, with his brother following him and bidding Jet goodbye.

After almost an hour, Sybil returned dragging a leaf larger than herself, on it five dead lizard and two large fish. It was all she could catch, but she was convinced it would be enough to satisfy the gargantuan lizard for a while. Once she reached Shadow, she just realized something; the way Shadow was right now, he couldn't eat by himself. She would have to give him everything, to his mouth! But what other choice did she had? She wasn't going to let him starve. That wasn't right. She decided to take the big risk. She grabbed both a fish and a lizard and offered them to him. She did very well to hide it, but in reality, she was scared to her wits. She was so close to Shadow, he could snap at her, and possibly eat her if he wanted to right now...

"Well Dalila, it is nice to meet you young one. My name is Royal and I have been living in that large tree, a short distance from your tree," he says, his eyes glistening in the light.

Davila found it surprising with how much comfort she could talk to Royal. Eagles had the reputation of being quite mean and nasty, and there were even rumors about Royal himself, but she was convincing herself it was all false.
"Hey, I heard that the keas got caught too." she then said, wanting to meet them for so e time ever since her imprisonment. It it was true, she wondered if Royal already released them...

Royal nods as Davila says that the keas, were captured too. He cleans his talons of fish flesh with his beak. Then pausing for a minute to make sure that the other warblers are alright, he speaks.

"Yes, the keas were captured too. After I freed you all, I released them as well. Then I returned here to protect you and the others."

Sybil continued feeding Shadow, and once she was done, she was relieved to no end that he didn't decide to become treacherous.
"Well... it is done..." she said, wishing to say more, but nothing came. She wanted to believe she could change Shadow too, but with everything she has seen with him, she thought it was impossible. Even if he didn't attacked her while feeding him, she just believed it was all a facade so that she could trust him.
"I'll be back with more food in a few days." she then said, knowing from Whirlpool that Komodo dragons could spend several days without food after a meal. She walked slowly, wondering if Shadow had anything to say...

"Oh? The keas are free too?" Davila said excitedly, wishing to meet them. She was always confined on the nest when they first arrived, but now that she was older and with more freedom, she couldn't wait to meet them...

"I'll go to my creek." Sybil briefly replied, although she believed that water was too good for him. Her home wasn't that far away from Shadow, so getting the water was piece of cake. With a coconut half she always kept around near her tree, she filled it with water and proceeded to go to Shadow again. She was so concentrated on her task, she didn't even noticed the major modifications Jaerl did to her home.

Midnight was close at hand, and everything was quiet. The tied Sholeh was furious, and with a quiet tantrum she forced herself to sleep. Warren never came to her, so the fact that he was avoiding her was out of the question.

The vulture was quite comfortable in the home dear Rose got him, but he was surrounded with guilt. He was tempted to see his beloved Sholeh, even if it is just for a while, but he knew too well that the manipulative Sholeh was going to find a way to convince him to free her. His sense of will was too weak, and he knew it well...

"Hey Sayan lets go to the beach." Rose said.

"Yes.. that sounds good.," Sayan said with a smile. For once, he felt he didn't have to worry about trouble popping on on the way there.

"Oh really now... and she just willingly left you like this?," Sayan said in a defensive tone. He glanced to check that the other bonds were still in place.

Soon thereafter, Sybil came with the coconut container full of water. She was about to give it to Shadow, when she noticed the two startling companions.
"Now now, don't you worry so much. He still has to eat and drink, doesn't he? It will be over soon." Sybil calmly explained, noticing how tense they were. She then offered the container to Shadow, approaching him as before but with no fear or caution this time. She had become q bit fearless with him.

Sybil listened, but she didn't reply. She continued holding the coconut container while Shadow drank, believing he was not capable of something as stupid as attacking her, since he must know by now how many wanted him dead both at the Haven and Hunted island. Not many were as merciful as her after all, and Sybil hoped that if she can't change Shadow, at least he could appreciate everything she was trying to do for him.

"She has a point. You never know what he might do-- what he might try to do.," Sayan added with a cautious tone.

"But Jet changed eventually for good at the end." Sybil pointed out, knowing that the two of them had to recognize that. However, she also believed that, unlike Jet, Shadow didn't want to change. She looked at Shadow, wanting to see his reaction in all that conversation, and wanting him to finish the water already since Rose and Sayan were so worried with her being that close to him.

Royal smiles and wraps a wing around Davila. His golden eyes gleam in the light. Then he turns toward her and speaks.

"I'm sure you will get that chance dear. In fact if you wish I could take you now. Though before we do this, you should let your family know," he says.

"My family doesn't mind. They have seen the keas before and they know it's safe." Dalila assured, not wanting to occupy Royal.

Soon Shadow finished the water.

"I know he changed but Shadow is different." Rose said.

"I know that." Sybil said, almost sounding like an insult. She didn't want everyone to believe she was too ignorant to see that Shadow was a hopeless case.

"Come on Rose, I already know that!" she said angrily, making sure Shadow heard her as well.
"I was just giving him food and water! That is all. He may have caused us a lot of pain, but he is still a living creature!" Sybil finally resumed, hoping that both Rose and Sayan understood that she didn't intend to let Shadow free, but that she wasn't going to let him starve to death either. Not even she herself knew that deep down inside, she was hoping all that kindness and concern could change Shadow's heart, like she did with Jet.

"Then shall we go little one? I will lead the way, as I have been there before. If your family needs aid, they only need to call," Royal says as he walks with Dalila toward the kea's home.

Sybil understood, but she remained quiet. She looked at Shadow, though not directly. That dangerous creature whose only concern was himself. Jet use to be a dangerous, treacherous creature as well, and she changed him. Sybil took that life risking chance to trust him that fateful day, and not only he proved to be an ally, but also a friend. Why was Shadow different? He wants revenge over a miserable scar Rose gave him out of mere and understandable self defense?
All these questions were giving Sybil's brain a turmoil that was beginning to become unbearable, and she doubted that if she gave Shadow the chance she gave Jet back then, she was going to escape with her life, or worse, Rose...

"I know that now." Dalila said happily, extending her wings and ready to fly towards the kea tree, prepared to receive escort from the surprisingly gentlemanly eagle. She now believed that all those rumors of his reputation were a big, fat lie...

After glancing at Rose and then at Shadow, Sayan looked at Sybil as well. "I just worry-- about what he has done and what he might do. But... but he is still a living breathing creature and I can see that he still deserves at least that.," the leopard reluctantly said.

Sybil looked at Sayan, and wondered if he really meant that, or was just repeating what she just pointed out so that she wouldn't feel everybody was against her.
"Well, Al's done. He had his food and his water, so there's no reason for us to stay here." Sybil said upset, about to leave, but then she turned around when she remembered she still had to cover Shadow's mouth again.
"Just in case." she said, as she tightened the grip of the cloth. She then finally left, not caring if Shadow and/or Rose followed her.

Soon, Sybil reached the other end of the beach, near where Light Beach exhibits itself. She noticed both Rose and Sayan followed her, but she wasn't in the mood for company. She was so close to dismiss them, but thought that neither of them wanted to leave her alone. She was quite in a moral struggle with the Shadow business, when she remembered something; Komodo dragons were called that for a reason...

She remembered back when she was in hiding a talk she had with Whirlpool... Komodo dragons were called that way because they came from a nearby island of the same name. It was the first time in years a Komodo dragon came to Hunted island, long before even Whirlpool himself was born. The only way they could invade was if they swam there, but the journey was too long and quite perilous... but... Shadow had Jet back then. If only there was a way to return Shadow to his original home... not only would his freedom be returned to him, but also, Sybil wouldn't need to risk feeding him anymore or the possibility of him escaping somehow one day and endanger all of the friends she so hardly gathered...

Sybil then turned to Rose, who had a very good hypothesis. However, oppressing animals the way he did didn't justify his actions.
"I wonder... but.. that doesn't mean he's welcome here. When I created this Haven I wanted everybody who took sanctuary to live their lives without altering the native animal's way of life. But, he, he made his objective too clear. He only cares about himself and power. That's why he must leave back to where he came from." Sybil said firmly, walking away again back to where Shadow was. If Komodo dragons were indeed an endangered species, she was more than willing to welcome him and giving him his own spot... if only he could change his ways. But since he didn't show any signs of that, he had to go...

Soon, Sybil reached Shadow. She gave a hive sigh before speaking to him.
"It is decided Shadow. Your freedom will be returned to you... but only in your original home. You will return to your island nd stay there, never to return here." Sybil explained firmly, in other words, saying that he was banished from the Haven and Hunted island forever.
"Rose, get Jet. I bet he knows the location of Shadow's island." Sybil ordered, knowing it must have been Jet the one who brought him there.

"Jet!!," Sayan yelled out going out a little ways from the group. Did he really know Shadow's original home? He hoped so, before they had to do something worse.

Sybil waited patiently while the two of them called. Jet didn't come, so he was probably too far to hear. She was about to join her two friends in calling him, but before she did that, she removed Shadow's cloth from around his mouth so he could speak, wondering if he had anything to say about being sent to his original home...

Royal takes off into the air leading the young female warbler to where the freed keas are. Landing on a large branch, he knocks on the trunk of the tree. Waiting patiently for one of the keas to come out, he turns back to Dalila.

"So tell me about yourself, Dalila. I know so little about you. I would like to get to know you more," he says with a smile, his eyes glistening in the light.

Dalila was rather surprised with the question. There were hundreds, probably thousands of warblers living on the Haven. Her life was quite average and uninteresting, but she decided to answer Royal out of politeness.
"Well, there isn't much to tell. I left the nest rather recently and I am learning to catch bugs." she said, wanting him to understand how average her life was.
"And there's... well..." she then commented nervously, as if she was about to confess something, when the overexcited Mambo perched besides Royal.

"Well well, if it isn't the bird of the year! You see, the flock and I have been talking, and we are in the process of making a statue of you. What you did for everyone on the island deserves a lifetime of recognition." Mambo said ecstatic, putting his wings around Royal's shoulders as if he was talking to a long time friend, or even a brother. He was so into his happiness that he didn't noticed the rather tiny Dalila right behind him...

Sybil did indeed hear that. But... it was too much to process. Why on earth would Cairo do such a thing? That wasn't like him at all! The seconds turned into a few minutes, when Sybil finally spoke.
"Listen, I don't know what in the world has gotten into Cairo these days, but, this is an emergency. I know being leader takes a lot of responsibilities, but... I need you Jet. This is no doubt the biggest favor I've asked you so far, but I got no choice." Sybil said sadly before explaining.

"You brought Shadow to Hunted island, didn't you? Back when you were working for him... and I need you... to take us both to that island, to this... Komodo island, and return him there... for good..." Sybil explained with difficult breathing, still surprised with the earlier news. But Jet was the only one who knew the way to the island, and it could take them days, probably weeks to go there and back. She needed Cairo to be in charge again while she and Jet took Shadow back to his homeland...

"Rose, you should talk with Cairo. I must leave with Shadow right away." Sybil suggested, though she was actually swing because, knowing Cairo, wasn't probably going to let her leave. Unfortunately, since Cairo didn't have the leadership responsibilities anymore, he was nearby, spying on them, and to make matters worse, he heard everything. He waited for Sybil to go to Shadow, and then he dragged Jet by the tail a little further away to open sea.

"You're not going anywhere. I will take Sybil and that pest to this island. I should keep a watch on this Shadow. Just pinpoint me to the island and I will travel there." The stubborn Cairo said, still not believing that Sybil still chose Jet's help over his (even if there was a good reason behind it), especially when he turned down his position for her.

Royal blushes at the compliment. His golden eyes glimmer in the sunlight. Then turning to Dalila, he gently pushes her forward.

"Well, I'm glad that you and the keas as well as the warblers are free. You all are good friends. Now, I have a guest with me that would like to meet you, Mambo. Dalila, this is Mambo, leader of the keas," Royal says smiling.

Cairo thought for a moment, and realized that if Jet had been there before, he had a lesser chance of getting lost than him. Even if Jet did tell him directions, if the place was too far, he could get lost.
"And just for this I gave you my position?" he said bitterly, but surprisingly, he accepted the journey.
"Fine. You can go. I'll take care of the pod while you're gone... but... you better bring Sybil back to safely." Cairo said menacingly, wanting Jet to know the humongous problem he was going to be in if something happened to her.

He then swam away without waiting for Jet to reply anything. He then wondered, why Sybil had to go? He knew Shadow needed to be guarded, but why her? He wanted to ask her so badly, but knew she was kinda upset with him for his recent behavior, and he didn't want to make things worse. He knew he had to swallow all that if he wanted her content.

"Ooh, a very small one I see. Barely leaving the nest, are you?" Mambo correctly assumed, looking at the overexcited young warbler. Dalila was smiling, never knowing a kea before. They looked a lot like parrots, but she always pictured them with brother colors. But her biggest surprise was how extremely cheerful and charismatic Mambo was.
"You're the leader? Wow, this is so incredible. I always picture leaders as the stern, serious type. But you..." Dalila said, looking at the turf of stylish feathers on his head that made him look like a well groomed cockatoo.
"Well, you can be responsible, but that doesn't mean you must stop to be fun." Mambo kindly explained, and the two of them engaged in a very long conversation...

Shortly thereafter, Sybil came with Shadow, using one of the lianas as a leash, and warning him about not trying anything funny, since the elephants were nearby.
"Here we are Jet. We leave now." Sybil urged, hoping arose would take care of Cairo, and unaware that it was done already. She then signaled Shadow to get on Jet's back, hoping he would cooperate on the long journey ahead, and that she would have the absolute protection of Jet in case Shadow turned on her while at sea...

"I'm ready." Sybil said, and climbed on Jet as well.
"And don't worry Rose. I'll be careful. I'll be fine. We'll be fine." she assured, in her tone of voice, not even a tiny hint of concern. She fully trusted Jet, and was very sure that, if Shadow even dared to approach her with ill intentions, Jet would protect her. She then sat down, knowing that it was going to be a long journey ahead. They first had to pass the dangerous currents that protected the island from human voyages, and from then on, it was going to be days before she returned to her beloved Haven.

Sybil was calmed, but Cairo was trembling even to the bones. Sybil was going away, and even though he could follow them, none of the other orcas were up to the task of being the leader. He had to stay behind... but... he didn't trust Shadow OR Jet. He then went to his pod, and went to the first orcas he could find. They were none other than those mischievous teenage brothers that were always causing trouble, but he was desperate.
"You two! You better not mess this up, so listen well; Sybil and Jet are going away with that Komodo dragon to an island somewhere in Indonesia. I need you two... to follow them, without any of them taking notice." Cairo ordered firmly, to the two sibling's utter surprise. Cairo never gave them a task until now. That was the biggest honor, and they were willing to obey.

Sybil hold on to Jet's dorsal fin, holding very tightly Shadow's leash. She felt very bad for Jet, since Shadow could only hold on to him though his sharp claws.
"Do we really need to stop? Is it really that far?" Sybil asked in all that struggle, hating the idea of stopping on an island without Jet's protection. She would have to remain near the beach. She knew Shadow was treacherous.
