The first game YOU purchased? [CLOSED]

What's the very first game that YOU, personally, purchased with your own money? I'm not talking something given to you as a present, or that your parents bought for you - I'm talking that you're standing in the store, cash-in-hand (or gift card, if you wish) looking at a wall of games and making the decision as to which one of these games you want to actually spend your money on?

Bonus points* if you post a pic of the cover.

Saved up all the money I could get when I was about 7 and bought a GBA & Pokemon Sapphire.

First video-game I ever owned as well.

First game I purchased on my own was probably either Pokemon Colosseum or Super Mario Sunshine. Don't recall really.

It's not spelling, it's grammar.

You are not bad at spelling. I think. 0_o

The earliest I can remember with absolute certainty is Sonic Heroes on PS2.

However, I know I purchased PS1 and Game Boy games before that. I think I might have purchased the original Spyro game for myself.

Video games were always given to me as a gift, so I didn't purchase my own game for a long while until my teens, so this was my first:

Err.. Either Wario Land 4, Pokemon Emerald, or Smash Bros for the N64. It's hard to try and remember something that happened that long ago,

Technically I guess I bought it using a gift card... but whatever, close enough.
On the contrary the most recent game I bought using my own money was Jak and Daxter.
Also this might be the first picture I put in a post... and I've been here for quite a while...
